THE AMBITION AND FATE OF SIMMONS
The departure of Ada Wong from his life in the wake of the Raccoon incident, when he believed her to be the only one who understood him, stirred the first turbulence in Derek C. Simmons' otherwise serene mind.
As a result, it led Simmons to come up with a deviant notion, "If Ada won't be by my side, then I'll have to create an Ada devoted to me."
He noticed a characteristic of the C-Virus being studied by Carla Radames, its ability to "reconstruct an injected human's body", and implemented a project applying this to create his very own Ada.
After repeating experiments at the expense of countless people, Simmons finally succeeded in creating a person identical to Ada Wong.
Simmons was overjoyed with Ada's reincarnation, but he was injected with the Enhanced C-Virus and transformed into an endlessly mutating creature, forsaken by the Ada he himself created. He was then attacked and fatally wounded by the original Ada Wong. With his final breath, in the end he was unable to obtain the "devoted Ada Wong" he desired.

唯一の理解者だと思い込んでいたエイダ・ウォンが、ラクーン事件を機に自身の元から離れて行ったことは、ディレック・Ｃ・シモンズの平穏だった精神にはじめてのざわめきを起こした。
その結果、シモンズは「エイダが傍にいないのならば、自身に忠実なエイダを作り出せばいい」という常軌を逸した考えに至る。
彼は、カーラ・ラダメスが研究していた「投与した人間の身体を作り替える」というＣ-ウィルスの特性に注目し、これを応用してエイダを作り出す計画を実行に移した。
数え切れないほどの人間を犠牲にして実験を繰り返し、シモンズはついにエイダ・ウォンと全く同じ人間を作り出すことに成功する。

When Derek C. Simmons was betrayed by Ada Wong following the Raccoon City Incident, it was the first time he had ever felt emotional stress. He felt that if he could not have the real Ada Wong serving him faithfully, then he would create one to do so. He decided he would use the C-Virus, a virus with unlimited potential to change the human body, on its creator, Carla Radames, in order recreate his beloved Ada. No one knows how many lives Derek sacrificed in order to realize that goal.
When he succeeded with Carla, he was overcome with joy, but Carla had not completely lost herself in the process, and she hated Derek for what he did to her. Eventually she would see to it that he was injected with a potent strain of the C-Virus, one that would cause his body to mutate painfully into hideous creatures without end. In the end, he was killed by Ada Wong.
