This story's main character. She belongs to the special mission unit S.T.A.R.S. of the Raccoon City Police. While investigating the conspiracy surrounding the pharmaceutical company Umbrella, Raccoon City was infested with a biohazard blanketing the entire city.

CARLOS OLIVEIRA

A mercenary unit created by Umbrella to clean-up incidents and viral outbreaks, abbreviated as UBCS. They have high mortality since they're sent into hazardous zones.

STALKERS (p.018-021)
Horrific monsters that roam the city. They're all fearsome enemies that attack, kill and eat people.
INFECTED LIFE-FORMS
Creatures that've been infected and transformed by the virus produced by Umbrella. They lose the sense of reason and function only with the instincts of appetite and aggression.
ZOMBIE
A living corpse that has revived to attack humans due to viral infection. It was originally a human but has no memory or personality remaining. As the whole city's contaminated with the virus, it seems most of the residents are turned into Zombies and B.O.W.'s. Quite often, Zombies will appear in large numbers.
ZOMBIE DOG
A dog that was infected by the virus and has become a Zombie Dog that eats human flesh. They act in groups and attack prey as a pack. Their movement's so quick that even if you have a weapon it's difficult to kill without taking damage.
CROW
A Zombie Crow which attacked an infected and became aggressive. As humans approach, they fly away and steady their attack. As it's small, it's difficult to attack.
MUTANTS
New species of organisms spawned under the influence of the virus. Their forms and abilities are so brutal it's unthinkable they could be from this world. Much more dangerous enemies than Zombies.
SPIDER
A common spider infected with the virus. Now it has turned into a huge monster bigger than a human. There's a number of baby spiders in the body, and they'll pop out when it's killed.
DRAIN DEIMOS
Insects that use their claws and limbs to move freely around walls and ceilings, and once they find a human, they grab and latch on tight. Abbreviated DD.
BRAIN SUCKER
A monster that likes to eat the brains of animals. It's similar to the Drain Deimos but has two heads. It also has the ability to spit venom, so it'd be wise to attack from a distance.
SLIDING WORM
A creature similar to a giant earthworm. They appear underground and in dark places. They drink blood as a main food source and when people approach them, they pounce and bite with their huge mouth.
MUTANTS
GRAVE DIGGER
A small creature that lives within the earth has transformed into a hideous behemoth due to the virus. The creature's size is so great you can't see its exact length since it's always moving underground. It catches prey with its huge fangs and swallows it whole. The Sliding Worm introduced on page 19 (above) is the larva of this monster.
BIOWEAPONS
Creatures created by Umbrella Corp. for military applications. The virus that produces Zombies was originally studied and developed to create such creatures.
HUNTER β
It has intelligence similar to a trained dog and is bipedal. Its most formidable weapons are its two clawed hands. It's also highly agile so even if attacked with a weapon, it can leap up and attack while dodging gunfire.
HUNTER γ
A monster with an appearance similar to frogs and other amphibians. Its limbs have webbing that allows it to move swiftly underwater. Since it's often found underwater or in dark places, its eyes are so degenerated they aren't externally visible. It also distinguishes prey via non-visual information such as sound, the flow of air and water, etc.
NEMESIS
Unlike other monsters that attack humans without a second glance, this huge monster persistently stalks only the members of Jill and Brad's S.T.A.R.S. team. It makes various and intense attacks, and even if one runs away from it, it can open doors and chase them. Even if attacked and defeated, it has astounding recovery and comes back again.
▲ It's dressed in a pitch-black coat. Its face is evil itself.
▲ Not only does it hit you, it even uses a rocket launcher.
▲ In the latter half, its body transforms and it tries to ensnare Jill with its tentacles.
OTHER
Helicopter
An attack helicopter maneuvered by a person. It's not a monster, but you have to fight it if you choose a certain selection. In addition, if you're aiming for the fastest route, avoid the event fighting with the attack helicopter and proceed.
