PROLOGUE
September 18th 2002.
Unknown perpetrators robbed the "t-Virus" for research from the Paris Branch of the multinational corporation Umbrella, which gained much fame throughout the world.
Yes, it's that virus, the one that destroyed a town four years ago in the American northwest.
Three days later, in the middle of the night on September 21, 2002.
A large Umbrella-owned cruiser, the Spencer Rain, was sailing gracefully over the Atlantic Ocean with VIPs from many nations on board when an armed group of suspected terrorists stormed and seized control of the vessel.
The two cases are one and the ringleader's name has been identified.
Morpheus D. Duvall--- A man formerly of the Umbrella Research and Development Division.

CHARACTERS
BRUCE MCGIVERN
AGE 27
An agent of the Anti-Umbrella Pursuit and Investigation Team belonging to the United States Strategic Command (U.S.STRATCOM). Possessing a firm sense of justice, he's reckless with a personality that makes him tend to act rashly in many ways, but his performance is top-grade. A professional who acts with more guts than others.
FONGLING
AGE 25
An agent belonging to the Chinese security bureau. Soon after being born she was adopted by the Chinese government and raised as an agent. She arrested her democratic activist brother as ordered by her superiors. That same day, her brother was executed. Since then, she has cast away her heart and become a poster child for the Chinese government.
MORPHEUS D. DUVALL
AGE 32
He belonged to the Umbrella Headquarters Research and Development Division, but since he displayed unsettling activities to the organization, he was framed and forced out. The individuals behind this act of terrorism are subordinates who worship him, but he makes said subordinates fall prey to the t-Virus as well.

CREATURES
ZOMBIE
Rotting figures infected with the t-Virus that've become living corpses. They have no sense of reason or thoughts other than solely to satisfy their constant and intense hunger.
It's the creature that appears the most in the series and its appearance and abilities differ each time it appears. Its basic attack is to grab and grasp, but they can also spew gastric acid and Zombies on fire can cause damage simply by touching. There are also some with particularly faster moving legs.
Among the Zombies, only the captain's capabilities are different from the other Zombies. The Captain Zombie's a boss in Area 2. He appears immediately after obtaining the "Captain's Diary" inside the Captain's Room. His attack methods are the same as regular Zombies, but his attack power's doubled and his physical strength's very high.
HUNTER
Created by incorporating the genes of other organisms into humans administered with the t-Virus. Its mobility and offensive capabilities are greater than the conventional model.
In Area 1 they appear as a pair of two bosses. In Area 2 and later they also appear in normal stages. They can avoid bullets with their agile movements and attack with a variety of patterns. While paying attention to their attack patterns, aim at the head for the weak point when they've narrowed the distance.
TYRANT 091
An experimental B.O.W. modified with the newly developed t+G-Virus. Its appearance is rotten due to imperfect preservation of physical durability.
Area 2 boss. It extends its tentacles like spears and attacks from a distance. Its back and head are weak spots.
NAUTILUS & TORPEDO KID
The mother Nautilus spawns the Torpedo Kids one after another, which burst upon impact. The B.O.W. was discarded as a failure and developed changes when introduced to this ecosystem.
They live in the waterways of Area 3. Nautilus itself has no attack power, but unless you defeat the mother, there are an infinite number of Torpedo Kids. They're fired at the player from the body.
GLIMMER
It has no eyes and inhabits the dark in groups. This is also a B.O.W. that was discarded as a failure.
It appears in the underground transport room of Area 3. They huddle in the dark and spit out poison. Since it stops moving in bright places, the grenade launcher's effective.
PLUTO
A death row prisoner subjected to a virus. It has abnormal vision due to removal of the eyeballs, along with developed muscle fibers from the administration of muscle-enhancing drugs. It killed guards and escaped.
Area 3 boss. When you make a noise, it attacks with a speed that doesn't match its huge body. Extreme caution is advised as it can use an instant death attack. It's much safer to shoot from a distance with cautious movements.
QUEEN & HALBERT
A B.O.W. with an exoskeleton like that of a horseshoe crab combined with a cockroach. Thousands of Halberts are born from the Queen.
Medium boss in Area 4. The queen doesn't attack, but the Halberts do. Halberts appear outside of the boss battle.
MORPHEUS THE 1ST FORM
According to the theory of fusing the t-Virus and its antibody the G-Virus at the gene level to bestow electrical characteristics, Morpheus injected himself with the newly created trial agent v.0.9.2. Any physical shocks are invalidated by an electromagnetic barrier.
It can use a charge attack even from a distance, and the charge ends with a claw slash. Attacks are repelled by an electromagnetic barrier, so the Charged Particle Rifle's essential for fighting it.
MORPHEUS THE 2ND FORM
The Charged Particle Rifle, developed with biohazards in mind, induced destruction at the gene level and caused its form go out of control. Perhaps due to the characteristic of the G-Virus to repeat spontaneous mutations, its huge bloated body seems to embody the "resentment" carved into Morpheus.
This boss fight requires two battles and is impossible to defeat the first time. If a player gets close from behind and is caught, they'll be killed immediately. Shoot the head from behind the huge body and retreat, and get ready for your final battle.
