THE FIRST NIGHT - MASSACRE IN THE HOSPITAL WARD
RACCOON CITY, DOWNTOWN
One after another, the sirens of ambulances scream.
RACCOON CITY, HOSPITAL
(SE) "BANG!" - The door opens and a wheelchair is taken. The physician Linda Pearl, along with the nurses, prescribe treatment to the patient.
Linda: What a horror! The flesh is rotting, the skin's peeling, I can even see the bone...!
Ill: Ah-ah-ah... It's hot... It's hot... Ah-ah-ah!
Linda: It's all right! This is a hospital. Calm down!
Nurse A: Pupils are dilated! Pulse and blood pressure are falling rapidly!
Linda: That's bad! Take him to the intensive care unit immediately!
Linda: What's wrong? Didn't you hear me?
Nurse A: What if he doesn’t make it... He'll soon turn into a Zombie. And he'll attack others... there'll be no salvation anywhere...
(SE) "Hey!" Linda slaps the nurse.
Linda: You're a nurse?! Do you even understand what you're saying?!
Nurse A: Excuse me!
Linda: Inject him with a cellular activator and we can delay the development of the disease. Quickly!
Nurse A: All right!
(SE) Steps. Nurse B comes running up.
Nurse B: Doctor Linda! New arrivals, we have two ambulances from the western district and three from the south. The patients' conditions are worsening, even the cellular activator doesn't help.
Linda: All right. Then they go in the special ward! Lock them all there. Depending on the condition of the patients, you should isolate everyone in turn until we find an effective medicine or treatment!
Nurse B: Yes!
(SE) Nurse B runs away.
Linda: Ah, wait! Did we get a response from Umbrella Pharmaceuticals?
Nurse B: No, nothing's come yet.
Linda: How come... What's taking so long?!
Nurse: Should I ask again?
Linda: ...No. Let's try and wait. And you prepare everything for quarantine!
Nurse B: All right!
(SE) Nurse B runs away.
Linda: It's just like a field hospital! And it’s been four days already. Exactly, since that incident passed...
(SE) Suddenly, the voice of a man (Ed).
Ed: Since that incident?
Linda: Ed?! Don't scare me like that!
Ed: Well, don't be so nervous. Come with me, let’s get a coffee, relax.
Linda: Are you kidding?! I don't have time... Wait, Ed!
(SE) The door opens and closes
INSIDE A ROOM
(SE) Drastic change of the situation. The noise ceases. The sound of someone pouring coffee.
Linda: Tasty!
Ed: Well? Have you calmed down now?
Linda: Yes. Thank you... But don't you mind? You're busy, Ed. Is our computer running at full capacity?
Ed: Don't worry. My program's running smoothly, it's not being overworked. So, what incident were you talking about?
Linda: Don't you remember? That fire in Nick's house?
Ed: Ah... for sure. Weren’t the deceased, Nick and his daughter, your patients?
Linda: Jane... She was only 15...
Ed: By the way, there are rumours that was the work of Zombies...
Linda: But from the very beginning, no one believed in it. If both the police and the residents... would've been more carefully checked, if they'd been caught, this would... That's what happens when you neglect your duties!
Ed: Linda... In truth, I have something to tell you.
Linda: Oh?
(SE) The door opens and a child's voice is heard (Bobby).
Bobby: Today's just the perfect day for a date, Linda!
Ed and Linda: Bobby?!
Bobby: Today will be my 34th offer for a date. And, what'll your answer be?
Linda: Bobby... You should be asleep. I already told you that you have an examination today, the last exam left.
Ed: So-so, baby time is over!
Bobby: Ha. You have to catch me first! * simulates a siren *
(SE) The door closes, the sound of an escaping boy running through the corridor can be heard.
Ed: It must be boring for him cooped up in a hospital, hardly a holiday. No wonder he's so energetic.
Linda: Besides... When he leaves, he has to return to the orphanage. He probably doesn't want to go back.
Ed: Exactly... his parents abused him cruelly, and sheltered him...
Linda: That's right, this is all the fault of his mother's young boyfriend. But his mother pretended not to notice anything. This is also her fault. Besides, it wasn't a punishment, but a real attempted murder. When he was first brought here from the orphanage, he didn't speak to me at all. Naturally, you'd try to kill your parents...
Ed: And now he's so sociable... Awesome work, Linda.
Linda: I... just did what I had to do. As a doctor, as a person.
Ed: Maybe you'll try your skills in New York?
Linda: New York?
Ed: To tell you the truth, I was offered a job as a programmer from a hospital there. When I told them about you, they really wanted to have a wonderful surgeon... Why not come with me?
Linda: Ed?! Is this a proposition?
Ed: Yes. You can take it as a yes. You must know my feelings.
Linda: Thank you, Ed. But in this situation...
Ed: It's because of this situation that I'm offering this to you. Raccoon City's already doomed. If we stay here like this, they'll cross us out!
Linda: I don't care. Let them...
Ed: Linda...
Linda: I'm not going to escape.
Ed: Are you a fool?! What's holding you here?!
Linda: Nothing keeps me...
(SE) A voice is heard from the speakerphone.
Handsfree: Dr. Linda Pearl! There’s a call for you. Take the nearest phone!
(SE) Linda takes the phone.
Linda: Yes, this is Dr. Pearl... Ah, I was already waiting for you! And, what are the results... Ah? What does that mean? ...No, we're exactly... Hey, wait, please!
(SE) The phone call ends abruptly.
Linda: Hello? Hello?!
Ed: What happened? Who was the call from?
Linda: From Umbrella.
Ed: Umbrella?
Linda: I gave them blood samples from those patients. I thought that they'd provide an effective medicine based on their results. So, of course, I reported everything to them...
Ed: What'd they say?
Linda: They said that they didn't receive such blood samples...
Ed: Ah? What does this mean?
Linda: Causeless fever and skin inflammation. Necrosis of muscles and bone... And that's not all. All patients have a noticeable decrease in mental faculties. It seems they've contracted some sort of virus...
Ed: A virus...
Linda: They have the best analytical lab there. That's why I sent them... Why this negligent attitude? I don't understand.
Ed: Did they really just hang up...
Linda: I don't even want to think about it... Okay. If this is the case, then I'll write an official statement on Umbrella...
Ed: Hey, I understand your frustration, Linda, but I think that's a very bad idea.
Linda: Why?
Ed: You yourself know very well. Our hospital here in Raccoon City receives a lot of money from Umbrella.
Linda: I know that! But...
(SE) The door opens, Bobby comes back.
Bobby: Doctor Linda! And where's grandma?
Linda: Oh, the trees are green! I completely forgot!
Ed: Grandma Rose didn't stay at the hospital last night. Ha, are you going to her now?
Linda: She's my patient!
Ed: It's worth looking at the people being brought in by ambulance, and it’s immediately clear - it's very dangerous outside. Anything can happen... (Whispering) Grandma Rose could already be a Zombie!
Linda: That's why I have to go! If she has any symptoms, I must transfer her here and treat her... This is my job!
(SE) The doors open, Linda leaves.
Ed: Linda!
(SE) The sound of footsteps.

THE FIRST NIGHT - THE STREETS OF RACCOON CITY
UNDERGROUND PARKING

Linda: I'll be back in 30 minutes. Pass it on to the nurses!
Ed: Wait, Linda! At least take the gun... Linda!
(SE) The car suddenly moves.
STREETS OF RACCOON CITY
(SE) Sounds of shots. "UUUUUUA!", "AAAA!" - hear moaning and shuffling Zombies. Cries and moans of people mixed with each other. "Run!", "Zombies!", "AA!"

Then "BANG! BANG! BANG! "- a wave of shots. Echoes of the distraught people resound.
Man A: Zombie bastards! Go to hell, to hell, to hell! Ah-ha-ha!
(SE) Squealing the wheels of the machine.
Linda: Wait! I'm not a Zombie! Don't shoot!
Man B: Aha-ha-ha-ha! Die, everything, die!

(SE) "CRASH!" – The car’s windshield shatters. Linda turns the car around quickly and leaves.
INSIDE LINDA'S CAR

Linda: Bobby?! What're you doing here?!
Bobby: But I wanted to see my grandma as soon as possible! Will you take me back?
Linda: Well, for the punishment... Sit down.
Bobby: All right!
(SE) Playing "Moonlight Sonata"
OUTSIDE THE WHITE FAMILY HOUSE
(SE) When the car arrives, the "Moonlight Sonata" comes from the house. Suddenly, the melody stops.
Linda: Rose?!
Bobby: Grandma?!
(SE) The woman and a child get out of the car, run into the house
INSIDE
Upon the piano, an old woman groans, Rose White.
Rose: Bobby, Dr. Linda... I really wanted to play this tune. Before my heart breaks...
Playing a melody.
Linda: Rose... You have to hold on. Let me check your pulse... It seems normal.
Bobby: I'll heat up some milk! You can drink the milk before we go back to the hospital and you'll definiteky cheer up grandma!
(SE) Bobby runs into the kitchen.
Rose: Bobby's a good boy.
Linda: Yes. Rose, to be honest, the...
Rose: And they're alike...
Linda: After that incident, did your son contact you?
Rose: Come on. You know yourself, doctor. There's no place for me in that family. When my grandson was born, I never received a single photo.
(SE) Again plays
Linda: Rose...
Bobby returns
Bobby: Hey, don't you think it stinks of something?
Rose: Really...
Linda: Yes. Something suddenly smells of fish or rotten meat...
(SE) From outside the house there are sounds of the steps of a Cerberus.
Bobby: What? What's that noise?
Rose: Doctor, there’s a shotgun in the next room!
Linda: All right!
(SE) Linda runs to the next room. She removes the shotgun from the wall and loads it with cartridges. A moment later the window breaks and a Cerberus jumps through.
The Cerebus groans and snarls at the trio.
Linda: AA?!
Bobby: Ah?! Its body's rotten! This is a Zombie Dog!
The Cerebus begins to bark at them.
Bobby: Doctor Linda!
Rose: Shoot!

The driver begins to turn into a Zombie.
Linda: AA! A Zombie?!
(SE) BANG! Ghaa! Cries the man. Rose shoots him with the shotgun.
Linda: Thank you, Rose. That was close...
Rose: What have the police done? The streets are just a warzone!

Linda: S.T.A.R.S.! Yes, exactly!
(SE) Everywhere groans and Zombie steps are heard. UUUUUUU! AAAAA!
Bobby: They came from there!
Rose: They're here too!

Ed's Voice: Linda?! Where are you now?! Are you okay?!

Ed's Voice: STARS? What're you up to, Linda?

THE SECOND NIGHT - HAUNTED BY GHOSTS
INSIDE THE CAR
(SE) The disconnected call continues to be heard. Three people are groaning and gasping in the stopped car.
Linda: Are you okay, Bobby? Rose?
Bobby: I'm fine. And how's grandma? Is she hurt?
Rose: ...It's fine, I'm okay too.
(SE) Linda picks up the phone. But there's no answer...
Bobby: The phone's broken?
Linda: No, it's not. It looks like something's wrong with the line. The car's totaled. All we can do is walk in this case.
(SE) Tries to open the door.
Linda: It won't open... It seems it jammed from the impact.
(SE) Zombies are approaching.
Bobby: Oh! They're here, Dr. Linda!
Linda: Go through the window, Bobby!
Bobby: It's no use. The wall's too close, I have nowhere to turn around!
Linda: Open up! I beg you!
(SE) Pushes the door. He pushes. Creak.
Zombie: UUUU! AAAA!
(SE) Groans and zombie steps are approaching.
Bobby: Ah! They're here!
Linda: Open up! Open up! Open up! Open up!
(SE) BANG! BANG! BANG! Continues to kick. At last the door opens.
Bobby: Yes!
Linda: Run as fast as you can!
STREETS OF RACCOON CITY
(SE) The sounds of the steps of Linda, Bobby and Rose.
Rose: My heart... it hurts...
Linda: Rose... maybe a little rest?
Rose: No, I'm fine... I'm fine.
Bobby: Hold on, grandma!
Along the way, they come across an awful sight.
Zombie: UUUUUUU!
Woman A: AA! Stop it!
(SE) There are sounds of terrible chomping and Bobby involuntarily slows down to see.
Bobby: Doctor...
Linda: Don't look, Bobby! Come on!
(SE) They keep going.
Another Zombie: AAAAA!
Man A: Stop, Judy! Don't you recognize your dad? AAH!
(SE) The same sounds of chomping.
Rose: Oh... My God!
Linda: Forget it! He can't be helped! First we must find a cure, find a cure...
(SE) They're running.
Zombie Groans: UUUUU! AAAAA!
Bobby: They're here too!
Linda: There! In that alley!
FROM THE STREET TO THE ALLEY
(SE) The sounds of Zombie steps and moans mixed with the trio's steps.
Linda: The streets are just teeming with Zombies!
(SE) Bobby stops.
Bobby: Doctor, grandma, come here!
(SE) Turns around and runs.
Rose: Bobby?!
Linda: Where are you going?!
(SE) From the side where Bobby ran off, chimes began to be heard in the bell.
Rose: The bell...?
Linda: The church?
Bobby: Father! Help!
(SE) The door opens, all three run into the church.
CHURCH
(SE) Keep running.
Linda: Wait, Bobby!
Rose: Bobby!
(SE) Suddenly the bell rings.
Bobby: Father?
Priest: Bobby... Thank God. Are you alright? *Cough-cough*
Bobby: Father, are you okay? You have a terrible fever!
Priest: I tried to tell everyone in the city about the danger, by ringing the bell... But something strange is happening to my body...
Linda: Bobby, get back!
Bobby: Oh?
Priest: Stand back, Bobby... I, too, will eventually become like them...
Bobby: Are you going to turn into a Zombie?!
(SE) Suddenly there are piercing sounds of thunder.
Priest: Jesus Christ! The Lord is angry!
Linda: Rose, take Bobby away!
Rose: Come here, Bobby!
Bobby: It can't be... It's not true!
(SE) It starts to rain, furiously tapping on the roof.
Linda: Father, I'll give you a little first aid... use this handkerchief.
(SE) Linda tears up her handkerchief and wraps the priest's wound.
Priest: Are you a doctor?
Linda: When you get some rest, we'll go to my hospital together...
Priest: No... I'm staying here. And I'll share the fate of all this city's the inhabitants.
Linda: Are you a fool?! What're you talking about?!
Priest: This is... the fate issued to me by God.
Linda: And the fate issued to me is to save the lives of all the sick. And, while we're looking for a medicine, I'll not leave a man who can still be saved!
(SE) The rain stops for a moment.
Linda: Two years ago... I applied euthanasia to my mother.
Priest: Oh...
(SE) The sound of rain is heard again.
Linda: She had an unknown serious illness and was always in a vegetative state.
Linda: She just had to die, but I hoped my mother would be lucky. But in the last moments of her life, it seemed to me that her aimless eyes pleaded that she wanted to live!
Priest: Lord!
Linda: Then six months later, they found a treatment...
Priest: What?!
Linda: Was I hoping my mom was lucky? No, I refused to fight then. I fled from suffering. As a doctor. As a person! So I swore I would never run away. That I'll never give up!
Priest: Doctor, the Lord forgives your sin.
Linda: Father...
Priest: But... I still can't leave this place... I have to fight for my cause, as you fight for yours. It itches... It's hot...!
Linda: Father?!
Priest: I'll go mad before we reach the hospital... Leave here quickly... Before I become a monster...!
(SE) Thunder is heard, like the wrath of God...
OUTISDE
(SE) It's raining. Heavily... The doors open, three people run away.
Bobby: Only Father loved me, only he!
Linda: Bobby!
Rose: I'm with you now, Bobby!
Bobby: Grandma... Grandma!
When Rose hugs Bobby, it hurts.
Rose: Ah...
Bobby: Grandma?! Does it hurt you?! Doctor!
Linda: Elevated pulse... It's not surprising. You ran and had a big shock. More rain. This isn't good. We need to get back to the hospital quickly and provide first aid!
(SE) Zombies are approaching.
Zombie Groans: UUUUUUU! AAAAAAA!
Linda: They're here!
Bobby: Doctor!
Linda: Run!
Other Zombies: UUUUUU!
Bobby: They're here too!
Linda: We're surrounded! The hospital's only a block away!
Bobby: Doctor, come here!
(SE) They runs in the other direction.
Rose: Bobby ?!
Linda: Where are you going?!
(SE) Stops.
Bobby: Open it!
(SE) Moves the sewer cover.
Linda: The sewer?
Bobby: It leads to the boiler room under the hospital!
Linda: Bobby, were you playing in there?
Bobby: Hehe, I was so bored... Are you mad?
Linda: First we'll get to the hospital without incident. Come on!
Bobby: Careful, Grandma!
(SE) The sounds of the footsteps of three people descending the iron steps echo.
UNDERGROUND TUNNEL
(SE) They walk, cutting through the water. Rose coughed heavily.
Rose: It's cold... It hurts!
Bobby: Sorry, Grandma. There's usually not that much water here...
Linda: The water level has risen due to the rain. When we arrive at the hospital, I'll give you medical help straight away! Hold on, Rose!
Bobby: There! We must turn there... Just a little more, Grandma!
(SE) At that moment, the sounds of footsteps are heard from somewhere. (Hunter)
Linda: Zombies?!
Bobby: They're even here?!
Linda: The sound's coming from there... You can't go there, Bobby.
Bobby: Then come here. It's a little bit but from here we can...
(SE) Turning the other way, but again the footsteps sound.
Bobby: What, from here too?!
Linda: No, it's not. Not from here, but from behind. No...
Rose: It seems to me they're come from both sides...
Linda: Really...
Bobby: Where? Where to go?!
Hunter: AAA!
(SE) Spilled water, and a gushing sound of something moving fast, a Hunter appears in front of the trio.
Bobby: This isn't a Zombie?!
Linda: The shotgun!
(SE) "BANG! BANG! BANG!" – The shotgun is firing. The Hunter turns away from the shots.
Linda: It's fast! Get away from it!
Bobby: Doctor, there's a way out of the sewer!
Linda: We're running! Faster!
Bobby: Come on, grandma!
Hunter: AAA!
(SE) The Hunter pursues, slapping on the water.
Bobby: He's chasing us!
Linda: I won't let it!
(SE) BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!
Hunter: AAA!
(SE) With a growl, the Hunter falls into the water. The trio run to the iron ladder.
Linda: The ladder. Be careful, Rose!
Bobby: Hold on, grandma!
Linda: Faster, Bobby!
(SE) They scramble up the ladder.
(SE) The disconnected call continues to be heard. Three people are groaning and gasping in the stopped car.
Linda: Are you okay, Bobby? Rose?
Bobby: I'm fine. And how's grandma? Is she hurt?
Rose: ...It's fine, I'm okay too.
(SE) Linda picks up the phone. But there's no answer...
Bobby: The phone's broken?
Linda: No, it's not. It looks like something's wrong with the line. The car's totaled. All we can do is walk in this case.
(SE) Tries to open the door.
Linda: It won't open... It seems it jammed from the impact.
(SE) Zombies are approaching.
Bobby: Oh! They're here, Dr. Linda!
Linda: Go through the window, Bobby!
Bobby: It's no use. The wall's too close, I have nowhere to turn around!
Linda: Open up! I beg you!
(SE) Pushes the door. He pushes. Creak.
Zombie: UUUU! AAAA!
(SE) Groans and zombie steps are approaching.
Bobby: Ah! They're here!
Linda: Open up! Open up! Open up! Open up!
(SE) BANG! BANG! BANG! Continues to kick. At last the door opens.
Bobby: Yes!
Linda: Run as fast as you can!
STREETS OF RACCOON CITY
(SE) The sounds of the steps of Linda, Bobby and Rose.
Rose: My heart... it hurts...
Linda: Rose... maybe a little rest?
Rose: No, I'm fine... I'm fine.
Bobby: Hold on, grandma!
Along the way, they come across an awful sight.
Zombie: UUUUUUU!
Woman A: AA! Stop it!
(SE) There are sounds of terrible chomping and Bobby involuntarily slows down to see.
Bobby: Doctor...
Linda: Don't look, Bobby! Come on!
(SE) They keep going.
Another Zombie: AAAAA!
Man A: Stop, Judy! Don't you recognize your dad? AAH!
(SE) The same sounds of chomping.
Rose: Oh... My God!
Linda: Forget it! He can't be helped! First we must find a cure, find a cure...
(SE) They're running.
Zombie Groans: UUUUU! AAAAA!
Bobby: They're here too!
Linda: There! In that alley!
FROM THE STREET TO THE ALLEY
(SE) The sounds of Zombie steps and moans mixed with the trio's steps.
Linda: The streets are just teeming with Zombies!
(SE) Bobby stops.
Bobby: Doctor, grandma, come here!
(SE) Turns around and runs.
Rose: Bobby?!

Linda: How come...
Patient A: This is the end! We're finished!
Patient B: Exactly! We'll all die the same!
Nurse A & B: No!
Linda: Wait! Calm down! Don't give up! There'll be an effective treatment soon...
Patient A: We just don't believe in it!
Linda: But...
Patient B: In any case, we can no longer stay here!
Nurse A: I want to go outside!
Nurse B: Me too!
Patient A: And that door, by chance, isn't it an emergency exit?
Patient B: We need to leave!
(SE) All the people run to the door.
Linda: Wait! In the street there are more Zombies than here...
Patient A: We can get out of the streets!
Patient B: Open it!
Nurse A: Come with us, doctor!
Nurse B: If you don’t want to come, then get out of the way!
(SE) Everyone runs to the door.
Linda: Everyone, stop!
(SE) The door opens and Zombies attack people. There are screams, moans and chomping.
Linda: Why? Why?!
(SE) Then the sound of an explosion is heard.
Linda: What's that sound? It's outside!! Window... window... There it is!
(SE) She runs and opens the window. The sound of the explosion becomes louder.
Linda: A car crashed into the gas station. What a bright flame.
(SE) The flame burns, the building collapses.
Linda: What's going on in Raccoon City?
THE SECOND WARD
(SE) Linda descends the stairs.
Linda: There's someone there. This smell... Zombies!
(SE) A small groan and footsteps are heard.
Linda: But if I don't go through here and don't get to the elevator, I won't get to the morgue... It’s my only option!
(SE) Noiselessly moving forward.
Linda: I'll increase the distance so I'm not noticed... Slowly... Slowly...
(SE) The moaning and steps are moving away.
Linda: Slowly... Please don't pay attention to me.
Linda: I can't do it. I'm at my limit.
(SE) There are loud groans.
Linda: Have I been noticed?! No... I don't have to move... He turned the other way!
Linda: I'll succeed, the elevator, five meters... four meters... three meters...
Zombie: UUUUUH!
Linda: They noticed me!
(SE) She ran.
Linda: Come on elevator, quickly! Open up! Faster!
Zombie: UUUUUH!
Linda: AAH!
(SE) The elevator doors opened. Linda ran inside.
IN THE ELEVATOR
(SE) The door closes, the elevator rides.
Linda: Thank God!
Linda: Stopped?! AAH! The lights are out?!
Linda: Are they here?! Behind the door? On the roof?
(SE) Zombies gather outside of the elevator.
Linda: AA!
Linda: The door... The ceiling's broken?! A... A Zombie hand?!
Zombie: UUUUUH!
Linda: No! Somebody help!
(SE) Suddenly Zombies on the outside of the door collapse from magnum shots. The Zombies fall.
Ed's Voice: Are you alright, Linda?! Grab my hand! I'll get you out!
Linda: Ed!
ELEVATOR HALL
(SE) Linda is rescued by Ed.
Ed: Careful. Are you okay?
Linda: Thank you... I'm saved!
Ed: This magnum's a life saver. The Python is amazingly powerful.
Linda: Where'd this gun come from? And a shotgun and sniper rifle...
Ed: I took them from the guard, Jack. Come on, let's use the emergency staircase!
Linda: Y-yes...
THE THIRD NIGHT - MOONLIGHT MEMORIES
STAIRS
(SE) The couple descends the stairs.
Linda: Still, I'm so glad! I knew you were alive, Ed.
Ed: Everyone was attacked by Zombies. And now they have turned into Zombies... So I went to get a gun in the guard's office, and I survived...
Linda: That’s how. So...
Ed: Shit! What was I supposed to do... What could I do?! I already killed several Zombies with this Python. No not Zombies, I killed my former colleagues! Jack and Kate, and Maligan, and Philip, and Patty – all of them, I killed everyone…
Linda: Ed.
Ed: So... That's why I told you that you need to get out of this city fast! And you...
Linda: Ed, calm down!
Ed: Sorry, I'm sorry. I panicked.
Linda: Forget it. I think I'll lose my mind soon too.
Ed: But, Linda, you don't give up. You struggled to overcome what happened two years ago, what happened to your mom. As a doctor, and as a person.
Linda: So you knew, Ed?!
Ed: I know everything about you. Of course I knew about this. But to understand your feelings, I watched you for several days. How embarrassing. I'm not worthy of loving you...
Linda: I love you. I've always liked you. I want to go with you to New York.
Ed: Linda.
(SE) Embrace
Linda: Hold me tight, Ed. I'm scared mindless!
Ed: Linda.
Linda: But... but... we'll go to New York after it's over. After we save everyone. Otherwise, what happened two years ago will never end.
Ed: All right. Then let’s get it over with! I'm looking at Jill’s file, right?
Linda: Yes. I think there's data on a treatment in it. Jill had to have left something.
Ed: The problem's the password. If I could guess it, I can open the file.
Linda: But first, we have to go to the morgue! We need to pass through the ventilation pipe above the ceiling and get into the rehab room.
Ed: Rehab room?
Linda: Yes. Rose and Bobby are there. Zombies have them trapped from the other side of the door.
Ed: I see. So, we'll use the pipes to get in, good. I'll try to solve the password again on the computer in the rehab room.
Linda: Thank you, Ed!
REHABILITATION ROOM
(SE) The Moonlight Sonata is playing. Rose continues to play.
Bobby: Grandma, what's wrong with you?! Very soon Dr. Linda will come... Grandma?!
(SE) Continues to play the melody.
Bobby: I understand now. Dr. Linda, grandma - they all left me. And now. I'll die all alone!
(SE) Suddenly, the melody stops.
Rose: That's not true, Bobby. You're not alone.
Bobby: Oh?
Rose: I'm sorry, Bobby. My grandmother didn't live so long due to illness, so I wanted to play one last time. I wasn't going to leave you.
Bobby: Grandma...
Rose: In the past, I was a pianist. I was a member of a famous orchestra that played to a full house in Carnegie Hall.
Bobby: I know! Dr. Linda told me!
Rose: But in my family affairs, I was unlucky.
Bobby: You don't have any children?
Rose: Yes. I have a son Ross, he works as an accountant, but I haven't seen him in ten years.
Bobby: Why, how come?
Rose: When I had my son, the first thing I did was prepare for my career. So we spent little time with him. Since then, my son has never told me about his feelings.
Bobby: Hmm, so he never heard you play?
Rose: I guess. Apparently he doesn't want to.
Bobby: Then I'll listen to you!
Rose: What?
Bobby: I want to hear you. I'll always listen to you play!
Rose: Bobby!
Bobby: You won’t?
Rose: I will... I will, Bobby!
Bobby: Hooray!
(SE) Rose starts playing again.
MORGUE
(SE) The door opened, a couple enters.
Ed: It's cold!
Linda: Looks like there's no Zombies here.
Ed: Everyone here was already a corpse before it all started. I'm glad, of course, but still I feel uncomfortable in the morgue.
Linda: Where's the entrance to the vent pipe?
Ed: Likely there. Ah?!
Linda: AA!
Looking up, the couple are surprised.
Ed: A spider?!
Linda: It’s huge!
The Web Spinner hangs on the ceiling.
(SE) The spider spits poison.
Linda: Ah!
Ed: Look out, it's some kind of poison. Don't breathe!
(SE) BANG! BANG! BANG! - The spider falls.
Ed: There! Are you alright, Linda?
Linda: I’m fine.
(SE) From the dead body of the spider a bunch of small spiders jump out.
Linda: AA! A lot of small spiders just came out of the dead body!
(SE) Little Spiders spit venom.
Ed: Let's go! Into the vent pipe!
Linda: Ed!

INSIDE THE VENT PIPE
(SE) A couple crawls along the pipe, followed by a bunch of small spiders.
Ed: Shit! They are following us!
(SE) BANG! BANG! BANG! - Shots from the Colt.
Ed: It's useless. They are too small. No effect!
Lindo: Ed, I'll try out a shotgun!
Ed: Come on, shoot.
(SE) BANG! BANG! BANG! - A bunch of small spiders scattered into pieces.
Linda: It worked! I killed them all!
Ed: Well done, Linda!
Linda: Can you hear that?
(SE) The melody of the moonlight sonata is heard.
Ed: The piano?
Linda: Rose! Bobby!
REHABILITATION ROOM
(SE) They remove the grate. Linda and Ed get out of the vent
Bobby: Who is it?!

Rose: I'll immediately prepare Bobby's room in my house.
Linda: Rose, that's a great idea! I'll help too!
Ed: And me.
Rose: Thank you. All thanks to you. Thanks to the fact that you were at the reception, I met Bobby. I really appreciate it!
Linda: Well, it’s my job to help people.
Bobby: You two also need to live together.
Linda: What're you talking about, Bobby?!
Ed: Daring little guy!
Bobby: Oh, and you blushed!
(SE) Everyone laughs.
Ed: So, Bobby, where's the Zombies?
Bobby: It seems they're gone now. But from time to time they come back and hang around outside the door. We didn't know if they'd break the door or not, we were scared. So we tried to stay away from the door.
Linda: That's it!!
Bobby: Oh?
Linda: I guess the Zombies are unconscious. They just instinctively react to a human smell or something. When Bobby and Rose were slightly away from the door they didn't react at all to you. But now there are four of us here.
Bobby: So they'll come back again?
Ed: Yes. So either we better hurry and get out of here or we shouldn't let them get in here.
(SE) Hear Zombie steps.
Bobby: Zombies!
Ed: They're here!
Linda: They're beating against the door!

STAIRS
(SE) Linda, Bobby and Rose climb the stairs.
Linda: Faster! From there we can get on the roof!
Bobby: How are you, grandmother?
Rose: I'm fine, Bobby!
ROOF
(SE) The door opens, Linda and the others run out onto the roof.
Bobby: Doctor!
Rose: That's...
Linda: The rain has stopped... The city's on fire!
(SE) The fire is burning, the explosions are rattling.
Bobby: And the buildings, and the gas station...
Linda: This is hell. Our city... Raccoon City has been destroyed!
Rose: Bobby...
Bobby: What, grandma?
Rose: I was glad when you told me you'd live with me. Now your grandmother can die with peace of mind.
Bobby: No, Grandma! I want to hear more about how you used to play!
Rose: Bobby...
Bobby: Let's go back together, Grandma! To that house, to our house!
Rose: Bobby!
Bobby: Grandma!
(SE) Linda watches as Bobby and Rose embrace each other.
Linda: Bobby, Rose! I'll protect you at the cost of my life. I'll help you escape! See, Ed, I'm not giving up!

Zombie: UUUUUU! AAAAAAA!
Bobby: They're here!

Zombie: UUUUUU! AAAAAA!
(SE) Linda blocks the way for the oncoming crowd of Zombies.
Linda: I won't let you go any further! I will not let you kill them!
(SE) BANG! BANG! BANG! - Linda shoots the Colt. But killing some Zombies changes nothing, as more appear continually.
Zombie: UUUUU! AAAAA!
Linda: ...Mom... Protect me... Mom...
(SE) BANG! BANG! BANG! Growing moans muffle the sounds of shots.
INSIDE THE CAR
Bobby: Is everything okay, grandma?
Rose: In my youth, I was a racer. So driving is my hobby.
Bobby: I'm not talking about that, I'm talking about your health.
Rose: I'm fine. I can't complain, thanks to Dr. Linda. Have you got it, Bobby?
Bobby: The floppy disk? Yes, it's with me.
Rose: If we go straight along that river, then we'll be at the newspaper office.
Bobby: But what if everyone’s turned into a Zombie?
Rose: Then... we'll leave the city. And we'll go until we find someone who can transfer the floppy. We'll go to the end of the world, together!
Bobby: Aha!
ROAD ALONG THE RIVER
(SE) The flow of water can be heard.
Bobby: Grandma...
Rose: What?
Bobby: I'm not alone anymore.
Rose: Yes. I feel the same. Now we'll always be together, Bobby.
Bobby: Yeah, Grandma!
(SE) Suddenly a crowd of Hunters appear. They jump on the car, claw at it with iron-like claws and tear the roof.
Bobby and Rose: AAA!
Bobby: Something's on the car!
Bobby: It's Hunters!
Hunters: AA! AA! AA!
Rose and Bobby: AAA!
(SE) Screeching of tires, the car breaks the fence and falls into the river. The vehicle catches fire.
(SE) At that moment, Zombies came to the roof.
Zombie: UUUUUU! AAAAAAA!
Bobby: They're here!
Linda: Bobby, take this floppy disk to the newspaper publisher! I count on you!
Bobby: What? And you?
Linda: Quickly, sit with your grandmother in the gondola!
Rose: Doctor...
Linda: Hurry, Rose!
(SE) Gets both in the gondola.
Linda: Hold tight! I'll take you down!
Bobby: You too, come with us, faster!
Linda: Go already!
Bobby: No, Doctor! Doctor!
Rose: Doctor!
(SE) Turns on the gondola, she lowers it down.
Zombie: UUUUUU! AAAAAA!
(SE) Linda blocks the way for the oncoming crowd of Zombies.
