PROLOGUE (p.004)
The destruction of Raccoon City caused by the "t-Virus", developed by the international corporation Umbrella, is still fresh in our memories. Even after the accident however, Umbrella continued its covert development of biological weapons. Then on September 18th 2002, a theft of the t-Virus occurred at the Umbrella Development Laboratory Paris Branch. On September 21st, a luxury cruise ship owned by Umbrella was seajacked and the t-Virus was spread on board. Bruce, an agent of the U.S. military, is assigned a special mission and boards the ship, alone.

CHARACTERS (p.004-005)
Bruce McGivern
AGE 27
An operative of the U.S. Strategic Command (U.S.STRATCOM) Anti-Umbrella Pursuit and Investigation Team. He has a strong sense of justice and is the type to act before he thinks. As a result, he's prone to reckless behavior, including acting rashly with no regard for his own life, but he's a top-notch professional in his work.
Fongling
AGE 25
An operative of the Chinese security service. Under orders from her superiors, she pursued and arrested her brother, a democratic activist, but he was executed that same day. However, she holds no grudges against either her superiors or the state, having abandoned her heart to become a poster child for the Chinese government. She's always calm and impersonal.
Morpheus D. Duvall
AGE 32
Formerly a member of the Umbrella Corporation Research and Development Division. He's the mastermind behind the t-Virus heist and has an abnormal obsession with beauty. He's currently threatening the U.S. and Chinese governments that if they fail to pay him $5 billion, he'll launch missiles carrying the t-Virus at major cities.

ENEMY LIST
ZOMBIES, FLAME ZOMBIES & CAPTAIN ZOMBIE (p.016)
Humans affected by the t-Virus spread by Morpheus. They've lost the ability to reason or think and wander around in search of human flesh with an intense hunger. There are also Flame Zombies that can walk while burning, and a Captain Zombie that has astounding stamina.
HUNTER (p.017)
An "Elite" creature specially tailored for Umbrella Corp.'s exhibition. Compared to conventional Hunters, these creatures are even more agile and aggressive. Their appearance has also been slightly altered, so they could be said to look more vicious and suited for combat.
NAUTILUS & TORPEDO KID (p.018)
A failed B.O.W. (Bio Organic Weapon) that nests in the underground canals. The mother, Nautilus, has no combat capabilities, but it spawns Torpedo Kids constantly. The Torpedo Kids swim through the waterways and attack anyone who comes near them.
GLIMMER (p.019)
A medium-sized creature with compound eyes, it prefers the dark and is quick-moving. Due to its timid disposition it hides in the dark when approached, but will pounce in an instant if it sees an opening. Its form suggests it may be a species of "Hunter," but details are unknown.
QUEEN & HALBERT (p.020)
The Queen & Halbert are creatures that combine the bodies of a horseshoe crab and a cockroach with an ecology similar to that of ants and bees, which act in groups. The "Queen," as she's called, has no combat capabilities, but from her huge abdomen she constantly spawns "guards," or Halberts.
PLUTO (p.021)
A subject in a reaction study that severed visual input from the outside world. Originally human, he has abnormally developed hearing due to the removal of his eyeballs and the administration of muscle-enhancing drugs. He has also gone berserk due to repeated experiments and roams on the run in the underground supply channels.
TYRANT 091 (p.022)
An experimental organism adjusted with the newly developed "t+G-Virus." It's characterized by its huge arms and excels in agility and offensive power. However, its appearance is in a partially decayed state with a vital organ exposed from an unformed section of its epidermis.
MORPHEUS FIRST FORM (p.023)
Morpheus was transformed by injecting himself with "V.0.9.2", a newly created trial agent improved over trial agent "091", thus fusing with the t+G-Virus. It generates an electromagnetic barrier from its body with a characteristic for nullifying physical attacks.
MORPHEUS SECOND FORM (p.024)
The Charged Particle Rifle induced physical destruction at the genetic level, causing them to go out of control. Its body's quite massive and far from human. Their sense of self no longer exists, and only the bitterness deeply engraved in Morpheus' heart powers the giant corpse.
