BARRY BURTON MODEL HISTORY
Since its release in 1996, the "BIOHAZARD" series has captivated game fans all over the world by recreating and "evolving" the "fear" of being chased by countless Zombies. The total number of sales in the series have already exceeded 46 million, the released software is very popular and new titles are still highly anticipated. The <BIOHAZARD> series celebrated its 15th anniversary in March 2011.
July 14, 2011. The <Samurai Edge Kai / Chris Redfield Model> was released, the first in the <BIOHAZARD 15th Anniversary Project>, and the first time it had been released in 10 years. For our part, we weren't entirely devoid of concerns. "Would a decade-old concept be accepted?" "Does its past name recognition still hold true today?" Etc. However, these fears were completely meaningless. The post-release popularity of the "Samurai Edge" and BIOHAZARD was tremendously popular, and it's a true testament to the strength of the games...
"Not like that Brian! It's gotta have more weight to it than that!" The pile of reports stacked in the dark on the chief's desk collapsed to the floor with a thud, having smashed his formidable arm on the desk it would even intimidate on-lookers. As a law enforcement officer, he has learned from his bitter experiences during his time at SWAT and his principle is to safeguard human rights, but as his true intention is to strike down any malicious violence, it forms a deep contradiction in his mind. "In order to protect, we have to make sure we get it done right!"
It's said SWAT is mostly mobilized with the aim of arresting drug gangs and raiding/occupying their hideouts, not as glamorous as terrorism or bank robbery sieges. As a renowned SWAT officer, Barry has witnessed a great deal of misfortune in his illustrious career. Many of the people involved in drug gangs are both suppliers and users. These "junkies" are prisoners to drugs and lack human reason and sense, with brutality and ferocity like wild animals. The problem's that the severely addicted can be so numb they aren't even remotely intimidated by 9mm bullets, which may be unavoidably fired in the event peaceful negotiations break down. New tragedies are created by the fangs of wounded fugitives who've lost their pain sensations, lost their reason, and who sometimes turn their fangs not only on their colleagues in their line of work, but also on their neighbors.
May 1998. Bizarre murders occurred in Raccoon Forest. Quickly taking notice of the unusual nature of these cases, Barry supposed the horrifically damaged corpses were crimes by junkies. At this time, he was conducting a series of trials to determine which S.T.A.R.S. gun would be the official weapon of choice for S.T.A.R.S., and this helped him refute the possibility of using a gun that makes use of conventional bullets, like the regulatory weapons of a police force.
However, unlike the military, respect for human life's always paramount in a police force. Whether they're good people or not. Paying more attention to the faces of Umbrella executives than the safety of citizens, the weak-minded chief couldn't make such a decision and never accepted his arguments.
The only upside for him was that the firearms used by special ops personnel were allowed to be modified to suit their individual capabilities. Barry greatly resented the chief's decision and decided to consult his good friend on the issue, a gunsmith named "Joe Kendo."
As soon as he finished listening to Barry, he realized his request was the same answer Joe himself had been seeking. "All right, Barry. It might take a little while, but I promise I'll give you what ya want! I'll let you know as soon as it's done, so keep an ear out. I'll start working on it right away as soon as I hang up this phone."
The following afternoon, contrary to Joe's word that it'd take some time, a black box and letterhead were already on Barry's desk.
"Here's my answer!" That was the moment when Barry's faith in the path he believes in, and Joe's battle-hardened skills, finally breathed new life into the Samurai Series.

THE BIRTH OF THE "ULTIMATE EVOLVED SYSTEM" .40 CALIBER BARRY BURTON EXCLUSIVE SAMURAI EDGE
In recent years, with many criminals turning to drug use and heavily armed with a variety of bulletproof equipment, opinions from the field say "Isn't the 9mmx19 (9mm Parabellum) no longer powerful enough?" In particular, the police and judiciary are more interested in the use of handguns as a means of deadly force against criminals than in the military service, which is "to wound enemy soldiers and devote more of the enemy's strength to their rescue and caretaking." The problem in this lack of power is particularly serious in police and judicial affairs due to the necessity of "completely disabling a perpetrator with a handgun" compared to military missions.
Although only 1mm in diameter compared to 9mm Parabellum ammunition, the weight of the .40SW warhead's actually 1.5 to 1.8 times heavier and there's a major difference in the bullet's impact when it lands. In the U.S., the <M96F> that uses this ammunition is the same type as the M92F and it's adopted in many P.D.'s (police departments) to compensate for the M92F's lack of power.
It's no surprise Barry Burton, the toughest of the <S.T.A.R.S.> officers and a "power fanatic" when it comes to firearms, based his personal Samurai Edge on this M96F. The normal Samurai Edge uses special high-caliber ammunition that "fires a 9mm warhead at the initial velocity of a .357 Magnum caliber", but this Barry Burton Model is <.40 caliber> and assumed to further increase its power with +P (Plus Power) ammunition with an increased burst of explosive power (.44 Magnum caliber?)
Therefore the <stabilizer> wrapped around the front of the frame to the tip of the barrel as well as the integrated <four port compensator>, which are extremely large and heavy, serve as indispensable modifications for controlling the intense recoil.
The <Picatinny standard mount rail> is installed underneath the stabilizer and is compatible with a wide range of flashlights and sighting modules. The reduction in the number of rounds loaded due to making the caliber bigger from 9mm Parabellum to .40SW is compensated for by lengthening the magazine. This can be said to also be a design of Barry Burton's that boasts his extraordinary skill. Both the front and rear sights are also new designs, showing his personal devotion. The <hybrid custom grip>, said to be a symbol of the Samurai Edge Series, has been replaced with a <reinforced polymer type> exterior and unified to give the entire body a uniform black color scheme.
The <S.T.A.R.S. Medallion> is the only one that shines in red and gold.
The medallion seems to symbolize Barry Burton's "inner fire" - his taciturnity and strong orthodox beliefs, but also his ability to turn into an "unruly and violent" person when he faces a great evil that threatens his beloved family.

"SAMURAI EDGE / BARRY BURTON MODEL" M92F/S.T.A.R.S. CUSTOM
The S.T.A.R.S. Alpha Team's biggest competitor, "Barry Burton", is a large man who's a stickler for large-caliber, high-powered models. This model uses more powerful <.40SW> bullets than the 9mmx19 bullet, and has been customized to be able to use reinforced <+P> bullets.
The master craftsman Joe Kendo wanted to build the Samurai Edge/Barry Burton Model due to his unyielding belief in great evil and it's a model suitable for a tough body that can handle heavy weapons. Tokyo Marui has faithfully replicated this ultimate combat gun down to the minutest detail. Please take a look at each part of the gun that's been improved to recreate the strongest partner envisioned by Barry Burton.
The <high hardness steel> matte black finished slide's designed to withstand the use of .40SW ammunition, with a wider slide lock section <brigadier style> made to withstand the rigors of use.
Both sides of the slide are engraved with (1) a "S.T.A.R.S. stamp" and "Custom Shop Kendo" signature, proof it was customized by Joe Kendo. This characteristic <bridagier style> is the origin of the Samurai Edge.
The combination of the highly oriented slide and individualistic cold metallic sheen of the barrel, finished in (2) stainless silver, prove the Samurai Edge is reminiscent of a <samurai blade>.
This style's very different from the other Samurai Edges. The (3) "four port compensator" suppresses the muzzle jump that occurs from the power of heavy weapons. By allowing the combusted gas from the bullets to escape upward through the four holes, it offsets the force of the muzzle jump trying to lift it up, making stable firing possible.
Another feature is (4) the "Picatinny standard mount rail" type stabilizer. Along with the "large size" and "heavy weight" in combination with the compensator, it's designed to hold the gun in a stable position.
In addition, since it has a shape that wraps around the front of the frame, it also plays a role in strengthening the frame. Moreover, the Picatinny standard mount rail can be equipped with various flashlights or sighting modules, making it suitable for any battlefield.
The reduction in the number of rounds due to expanding the 9mm Parabellum bullets to .40SW bullets can be countered by (5) lengthening the magazine.
Naturally, the number of rounds increases accordingly. In any case, there's no doubt the Samurai Edge is a special type of gun that can be handled only by the large Barry who's confident in his strength. The same Samurai Edge even has distinctly different customizations than the Chris or Jill models.
This weapon also includes (6) a "white dot tactical combat sight", standard equipment with a new shape for easier sighting. The (7) "hybrid custom grip" is a combination of the black-treated polymer exterior and mule type interior, which also includes a high degree of comfort and functionality. The center of its grip shines with the proud <S.T.A.R.S. Gold Medallion>. The gold and red medallion symbolizes that "Barry Burton = hot blooded man" and is his personal color scheme.
The chosen one who can hold onto that pride is one who has the pride of a samurai.
The moment you pull the trigger, the "Marui Gas Blowback System" produces a sharp recoil shock and the "Hop-Up System" draws a steady trajectory. When you hold the most powerful combat gun in your hands, the Samurai Edge / "Barry Burton Model", virtual space will become reality and birth a new story.
Because it's you who inherits Barry's will...
