Sengoku BIOHAZARD was an idea for a new "ninja" game in the series set in Japan during the Sengoku period, proposed by Yoshiki Okamoto.
History
First referenced by Okamoto in an interview with Dengeki Nintendo64 in its issue released on May 27, 1997. 1
The general outline of Okamoto's idea was for the game to take place in a "ninja house" filled with booby traps and gimmicks, similar to the mansion from the original BIO HAZARD. Battles would be fought using a katana and shuriken. Other ideas included hidden doors behind walls in the house, falling ceilings, scrolls, ninjutsus, and many other ninja techniques. 2 3
