I am Reynard Fisher, a member of the West Africa Branch.
The state of affairs in the Kijuju Autonomous Zone is very bad indeed.
On top of that it's also economically impoverished as a result of a long-lasting civil war, leaving public sentiments in shambles.
The war has ceased and the government recently changed, but chaos still festers.
Since there's a mine nearby, the economic conditions of the Kijuju Autonomous Zone itself had been comparatively stable, but the situation began to shift around the end of last year.
Slaughtered bodies of animals matching the blog you mentioned are one such example, but what's particularly striking is an anti-foreigner movement.
I think it might've been inspired by the current government that promotes extreme ultranationalism, although even so, the situation's odd variables are too sudden.
Even among the residents in the autonomous zone, they're divided into factions of residents in line with this trend, and non-residents, trouble between them never-ending.
Among them, murder hasn't been rare.
In fact one of my sources, the butcher shop owner, was also killed last month.
(There are notes on Adam's blog about this too)
I suspect this movement may also involve a religious component, not just something political.
But to sum up, you are correct, we can't rule out an infestation of the Plaga, or in other words, bioterrorism isn't outside the realm of possibility.
This country's political affairs are unstable, making it a suitable stronghold for terrorists.
The Kijuju Autonomous Zone is no exception.
I have yet to lay eyes on anyone in this area who'd likely be involved in bioterrorism, but that doesn't mean there's no possibility.
I'm here at the moment because there is in fact a significant possibility.
I will keep your information in mind.
If I hear anything else, I will keep you posted.
