Characteristics of "Biohazard The Real"
1. Zombies and creatures of 'Biohazard'
Zombies that suddenly appear and the horror of the creature "Licker", which stalks people with abnormal agility, appearing in "Biohazard", the "Tyrant" which is over 2m in height, is truly a masterpiece. Mr. Shin'ichi Wakasa who worked on the molding of "Godzilla" which is the only Japanese character registered in Hollywood · Walk of Fame and "Mothra" one of the 3 major monsters, realistically reproduces the creatures. The unprecedented thrill and the survival battle evokes an unprecedented tension and fear of attacks.
2. A shooting battle experience using model guns just like genuine ones, directing the overwhelming sense of realism. Guests are equipped with a model gun that is as heavy as 700g as heavy as a real gun that adopts a shooting system highly appreciated by police and military around the world, and with a limited number of bullets with zombies and creatures you can challenge these monsters. The fear of running out of bullets due to panic, the presence and excitement when you hit a zombie will awaken your instincts.
3. Ultra-high difficulty with no survivors
Guests will challenge themselves by acquiring an infection meter that indicates the degree of infection of the virus as you advance. While fighting fiercely with zombies and creatures, infection frequency rises mildly and the remaining number of bullets decline when used. All the while being driven by the frustration of not knowing where to head next, and you will have to continue forward while gunning the zombies that attack one after another. Please challenge the probability of surviving without being infected with viruses which is at an ultrahigh difficulty of almost 0%.

Creatures
Zombie - People who suddenly became infected by the outbreak of "t- virus" rotting and the decay of the skin has overcome them. Due to rapid metabolism they constantly require a large-scale energy supply, and only know to seek out this supply, stalk, attack people and eat flesh.
Licker - A human being who was once a zombie changed its body further due to the virus and accomplished a severe mutation including loss of sight. However, as a substitute, the sense of hearing is vastly improved, approaching its prey with incredible stealth and disappearing without knowing it was ever there, it attacks with its tongue and claws.
Hunter – The whole body is covered with armored scaly skin. This B.O.W. has long and sharp claws. Hunter was developed as a weapon, so its fighting power is high, it is able to track its target with amazing agility and aversion. The name Hunter derives from its ability to chase its opponent and capture it.
A realistic model handgun that is as profound as the real thing, used in recruitment for the military who adopt highly evaluated shooting systems around the world.

Walkthrough
At the opening ceremony of 'Biohazard the Real' at the New York Area, 100 guests were invited to the experience and waited in line outside the Palace Theatre.
Suddenly the siren rang out where the visitors awaited the opening. Members of the UBCS, a biohazard containment unit of Umbrella, appeared from within the attraction. They instructed the players that they must "Escape from this city no matter what happens! We need to put an end to this! We need to go!", players were guided into the attraction.
You enter the lobby, where newscasts of Raccoon City's calamities played out on TV screens, occasionally interrupted by commercials for the military force you are about to join.
People’s News Network Broadcast
- Hosted by Mario Strongmen a news reporter
- “Full scale civil rioting” “Midwest town falls victim to full scale rioting and citywide chaos.” “Origin of the city’s current state of chaos leads to local hospital”.
- The report shows images from the outskirts of Raccoon City near the infamous sign post “Welcome to Raccoon City”, the hospital, a road block with “keep out” yellow tape cordoning off the tolls, the RPD (live action) strange why they did not use Outbreak’s roadblock, Stagla gas station and a shot of the city streets. All of which said images depict chaos with crashed vehicles, out of control fires and damage to the buildings and streets. With no sign of zombies, BOW’s or humans in sight. It could easily be perceived as an area struck by riots.
- “Explosions in the Arklay Mountains a few months ago” “Strange events in Arklay Mountains could be responsible for Raccoon City’s current condition”. This text is accompanied by a live action video of a burning mountain side.
- The video uses Operation Raccoon City textures to depict Raccoon City in all but two of the images.
The attraction is a walk-through style experience, and is divided into stage 1 and stage 2 (last stage).
Stage 1 has the "RPD Route" and "Hospital Route", you are given one of these routes grouping about 8 people together for each route. However, players cannot select the route, only the players who survived the stage 1 routes with a low enough infection level are now combined into one group and are able to proceed to stage 2 at an Umbrella Laboratory. Although nearly everything on the screens was spoken in Japanese, you are handed a laminated info sheet that let’s you know what to expect.

Eventually, we were allowed upstairs into a hallway made up to look like an alley and then into a gun shop. The line was split into groups of eight and we were briefed by a U.B.C.S. member behind a counter — all in Japanese, of course. After handing us our pistols and arm bands, the man looked at us and, making sure we knew what was about to happen, said, "You. Shoot. Zombie." The indicator terminal and gun (model gun) is then attached to your arm. Indicator terminals are connected to the guns by cables, so that you can check not only the infection level (Green meant good, yellow meant caution and red meant danger) but also the number of bullets left in the gun.
The handgun provided is a replica of a Glock 18C (fully automatic) and is imprinted with the Tokyo Marui seal. This handgun is usually a standard side arm for the US police because of its ease of use and small learning curve. However in-universe this handgun is created by the Global-Chem Defenses and is called the “B.D.C.G. – 9mm-20X6”. The weight of the model gun is 700g and you are supplied with 30 rounds.
Advert for the Handgun Here
- The advert is in Japanese but the text “Dysemia Sensing System” suggests that Global-Chem Defenses has created a device that can be attached to the handgun to sense the infection rate of the user. Just a theory of mine but perhaps Global-Chem is a subsidiary company of Umbrella and they developed these devices for the UBCS and USS to use while in Raccoon City, perhaps we only see them here because they were prototypes and only given to select units.
- USS Command “U.B.C.S. have different uniforms so perhaps these devices were only given to certain units for example the U.B.C.S. unit that Carlos belongs to wears green and they come from Europe, in Operation Raccoon City we see a unit wearing brown uniforms and in most other Japan live action attractions/materials we see U.B.C.S. members wearing black outfits. Perhaps the ORC unit was American as they were called in to protect Birkin. The black outfits could suggest Japan U.B.C.S. units who were sent in to test out new technology as most of the green shirts were just guinea pigs sent in for the slaughter.“
Famitsu states that the "shooting system" is similar to what is used by police and the military for training exercises. (I'm assuming Famitsu is talking about this system HERE.)
Although the explanation of the stage is omitted so as not to be spoiled, they inform you that there will be conflicts with familiar creatures from the "Biohazard" series such as zombies and Lickers.
R.P.D. Route
The door opened and off you go into the dank, dark streets of Raccoon City, littered with the dead and, in some cases, the not-so-dead. Much like the Biohazard games themselves the corridors are narrow, dark and twisted with bends and junctions so your field of view is limited and most of the lighting comes from lamps provided at the target locations along the route and the lights from the handgun. The people at the front of the group begins popping off shots almost immediately, while back-of-the-liners had to watch out behind for any late-comers. And there was plenty of hungry zombies, stumbling their way toward you. The scares came at a furious pace, the actors were all fantastic. Zombies and other creatures are well-hidden by the poor visibility, and it is difficult to see whether it is an actor (zombie) or a mannequin at a glance, as sometimes they remain still and only move when approached.
Even as a Biohazard/horror fan who has become numb to such terrors I found myself wanting to run away as soon as I encountered the first zombie and when I saw a Licker I ran away screaming as fast as I could. The reaction of the gun used in the attraction was very solid and accurate if you have a good aim and experience firing weapons you may find the experience faithful, when defeating a creature you get a great deal of pride and accomplishment.
There's no laser target projecting from your weapon and no real way to "kill" the creatures you see; it's just point and shoot. The live zombie actors are coached to recoil or slump against a wall when they hear the muffled pop of the guns. So, it's essentially a souped-up version of cops and zombies.
I also wasn't sure how the "life meter" would work. As it turns out, it didn't seem to be a real factor. Everyone in the group was blinking red after the second room and we were all still blinking red when we came to the reload station before the final push. Our fellow officers checked our life meters before the last section to make sure we weren't on solid red, but it wasn't clear if this was just for show or if they'd actually pull you out at that point. I doubt it.
As you go further ahead, Hunters appear next. Although it is a fairly troublesome enemy in the game, the feeling of hopelessness at the moment when I actually met one was not as threatening. Although I managed to fight the hunter, I could not manage to kill it. Unlike other haunted houses where you just continue moving forward The Real gives you a sense of progress and achievement much like the Biohazard games themselves. "Biohazard The Real" claims "the survival rate is almost 0%", its difficulty is quite high. If you do not cooperate with the whole group, clearing the stage is a very difficult skill.
The last section was rife with zombies and BOW’s coming at us from every angle. the seven-foot-tall tyrant (which was part of Universal Japan's Raccoon City display for Halloween Horror Nights) was more than a little menacing. When confronted by it a Biohazard fan may feel a happy sense of nostalgia however, if the player wishes to survive you should not be wasting time with admiring the design. The R.P.D. area is the last stop before the end of stage 1 after completing this area you receive an infection check and it is decided if the players will enter stage two or not.

Hospital Route
As soon as you enter the route, there is a narrow corridor to the right and some barrels to the left. There’s nothing behind the barrels, but there is a zombie in the corridor to the right. It is there to distract you from the Licker that will come from the top of the corridor. The Licker remains there and is not mobile, but it will take a few shots to leave you alone and will also reappear at the other end of the corridor. Stay low and go past the downed zombie as fast as you can. After the corridor turns in a U. The wall in the middle will have a window with a zombie in it so stay to the right. The corridor will twist a few more times and there will be some zombies up ahead, so take your time, but don’t move too slowly. If you are moving too slow, the zombies you shot will come back up to try to get you to move. This is not good for your health meter.
Go through the door and at the end of a short corridor there will be some metal bars where a zombie will appear. Just shoot it and head past. There will be a hunter near some barrels to the right, so keep a safe distance and put it down. Go through the next door and you will be greeted by a U.B.C.S. member and there will be a short scene with Nemesis.

After this room is you sensor check. I think if you are green or orange, they let you go to the second stage, or it might be green only.
Your health meter goes down if you get too close to a zombie. Knowing where they will come from helps, but it’s still tricky to avoid infection. It was possible to cheat the health meter by keeping your gun arm away from the creatures.
Possible Super Tyrant in Stage 2 but photography was strictly forbidden so cannot confirm.

Kobayashi & Hirabayashi Interview
Interview with Mr. Kobayashi and Mr. Hirabayashi... The creature design was supervised by Capcom Design Staff. "It may be an attraction that evolves every day"
After experiencing the attraction, I got an opportunity for an interview with Mr. Hiroyuki Kobayashi ("Resident Evil 6" executive producer) and Mr. Yoshiaki Hirabayashi ("Resident Evil 6").
- "Biohazard The Real" is finally open, but please tell your impressions of seeing the actual attraction.
Kobayashi: The atmosphere of "Biohazard" has come across really well, and modelling was also incorporated. Because the zombies are so well done and scary, I thought that I do not want to walk inside (laugh). It is also a big feature that you can actually experience the feeling of the game by opening the door yourself or fighting creatures with a gun. When I experienced it, I was at the beginning of the group, but no member of Capcom who was behind us was shooting. So I was yelling "shoot!" I took the lead like a captain (laugh). I think that if you go in with a group of about 8 people, you can enjoy a single platoon experience.
Hirabayashi:
Because creatures attack from behind and sideways, it’s not just the people at the front who get scared. It requires all of you to unite and fight.
- How was the reproduction of creatures and the city?
Kobayashi:
"Biohazard The Real" is a motif of Raccoon City, but I was surprised by the quality behind the making. At the beginning, I felt nostalgic when seeing the KENDO gun shop. Zombies, as well as the licker, were quite recognisable, and some creatures were so wonderful that we wanted to stop and get a better look. People who have played the "Biohazard" series will be able to enjoy, and even those have not played the games will experience this attraction and definitely want to play them afterwards.
Hirabayashi:
Regarding the creatures, the development team of "Biohazard " checks the quality, so it is made to uphold the very fine details. That part is also one of the highlights.

- Have you had any hardships in the process of "Biohazard The Real"?
Hirabayashi:
I thought about "How can fans enjoy this" thanks to the Universal Studios Japan specialists they have designed even the finer details and have worked day and night even till the last minute before the opening. As for the guns, we are giving plenty of feedback, so they should be made satisfactory.
- The topography inside the attraction was also made like "Biohazard".
Hirabayashi:
Everyone who is making attractions are just "Biohazard" lovers, and asking things like "How accurate is this map?", Before they made anything, we were able to propose concrete opinions and feedback.
The proposal was also "understandable", and it seemed that customers could still be pleased, so the exchange was very smooth.
Kobayashi:
Of course, I made it so that I can clear it, but when Capcom staff including me tried it we were annihilated (laugh). I think that these attractions, along with the game, take a lot of time and practice.
- The game, "Biohazard 6 Special Package" and "DLC All in Package" will be released on August 8, 2013, please tell me the details.
Kobayashi:
"Biohazard 6" was a huge success thanks to the fans, but I think that there are still a lot of customers who are not playing. So we brought out the "Biohazard 6 Special Package" which comes with special video DVD which introduces the story by digest. Because the content of the "Biohazard 6" worldview can be understood in tens of minutes, it is content of attention, so I really want you to see it.
- Voice actors cast in Japanese pack are also very luxurious.
Kobayashi:
Since "Biohazard 6" was going to be like a Hollywood movie, I asked a voice actor who plays a dubbing in a foreign movie luxuriously. For example, Derek C. Simmons is being played by Mr. Ryuyuki Sugo, but I feel attachment and it makes me feel very good.
Hirabayashi:
I think that it is become essential casting and experienced actor because there are many people who are not skilled at the leading role.
Kobayashi:
Until now, it was Japanese subtitles in English audio, but I think that if you play in Japanese, I think that you will be able to experience different stories and emotions that are communicated in Japanese voice. It will be nice if you can play "Biohazard 6" as well as those who are not experienced at the timing of Japanese packing.
