The girl whom Leon etc. protected at the police department, and the only daughter of William Birkin, the central figure of the G-Virus Project.
She's unable to show her feelings very much except to a small number of people, probably because she grew up not being shown love by her parents.
Just before the biohazard outbreak in Raccoon City, Sherry received a call from her mother Annette, asking her to go to the police department for help according to her instructions, however she encountered Zombie police there, and ran from place to place.
Although she was defended by Leon etc. at one point, she got separated from the two in the police station basement and was caught by her father William Birkin, who'd become the monster "G", and she was implanted with an embryo.

警察署でレオン達が保護した少女で、Ｇ-ウィルス計画の中心人物だったウィリアム・バーキンのひとり娘。
両親から愛情を注がれることなく育ったためか、感情をなかなか表に出せず、口数も少ない。
ラクーンシティにおける生物災害発生直前、母親のアネットから連絡を受けたシェリーは、指示に従って警察署へ助けを求めるが、そこで警官ゾンビに出くわし、逃げ回ることになる。
一度はレオン達に保護されたものの、警察署地下で2人とはぐれたシェリーは、怪物「Ｇ」と化した彼女の父親ウィリアム・バーキンに捕まり、胚を植えつけられてしまう。
