The body of a young woman approx. 20-years-old was found on the left bank of the Marble River in the Cedar District of Raccoon City at about 10pm on the 20th.
The Raccoon Police Department presumes it was the work of a grizzly bear or similar beast due to missing both arms and having teeth marks on the cross-section of her left leg that appeared to have been bitten with great force.
Also, based on a hiking boot left on the right foot, the station suspects that the victim was attacked by a fierce animal while climbing Arklay and fell into the river, then was swept away by recent flooding.

According to reported sightings so far, the monsters look very similar to dogs. They usually move in packs.
Up to this point it seemed to be just wild dogs, but these monsters are fierce, ravenous, and invulnerable in ways unimaginable from their appearance.
They say let sleeping dogs lie, so it seems best not go to Arklay for the time being. But if you were to discover a new species of animal, you might be a celebrity!?

Recently, there have been a series of mishaps in the Arklay Mountains and the municipal authorities have decided to completely block the mountain road leading to Arklay.
At the same time, the Raccoon Police Department is preparing to use S.T.A.R.S. to search for the missing people, but it's inevitable that a search will be difficult in Arklay, where a large part of the vast mountain range is covered with virgin forest.
There have been reports of witness sightings of terrifying monsters in the Arklay Mountains and there are concerns about the safety of survivors.

20日午後10時頃、ラクーン市内シダー区マーブル川の左岸で、20才前後の若い女性の死体が発見された。
ラクーン警察局は、欠如している遺体の両腕と左足の切断面に、強い力で噛み砕かれたような歯型があることから、グリズリーまたはそれに類する猛獣の仕業と推定。
また、残っていた右足の登山靴から、同局では、被害者はアークレイを登山中に猛獣に襲われて川に転落、先日の増水で流されたものとみて、身元の確認を急いでいる。

今までの目撃例を総合すると、その外見は犬に酷似。普段は群れで行動するらしい。
ここまでだと単なる野犬のようだが、このモンスター、外見からは想像もつかないほど獰猛で貪欲、しかも不死身らしい。
睡眠を邪魔しなければ犬は寝ているっていうし、当分アークレイに行くのはよしたほうがよさそうだ。でも、新種の動物を発見となれば、一躍君も有名人かも!?

また、封鎖と同時に、ラクーン警察局ではS.T.A.R.S.も使って遭難者の捜索に本格的に乗り出す構えであるが、広大な山地のかなりの部分を原生林が占めるアークレイでの捜索の難航は必至である。
アークレイ山地で恐ろしい怪物を見た、という目撃報告もあり、遭難者の安否が気づかわれる。

May 20. Around 10 PM a 20-year-old young woman's body was found by a passer-by on the left bank of Marble River in the Cider District of Raccoon City.
Raccoon police assume it to be a grizzly or other animal's doing because there are teeth marks along her mutilated arms and left foot that show considerable power. Since she was wearing a hiking boot on her remaining foot, it has been determined that she was attacked in the Arklay Mountains and fell into the river. They are hurrying to identify this woman.

At the same time, Raccoon police intend to begin the search for lost people with the help of S.T.A.R.S. team members. They expect great difficulty because of the vast size of the Arklay Mountains and the primeval forest that covers most of the area.
Also people are still reporting sightings of grotesque monsters in the mountains.
