RESEARCH REPORT 1
This project was launched in 2000 under H.C.F.'s technical assistance with the objective of developing "a bioweapon capable of pacifying enemy groups without combat."
What sets this project apart from conventional weapons is the fact that "it incorporates pacified enemy personnel as friendly forces."
Conventional enemies are converted into allies who voluntarily cooperate and serve.
Rather than incurring any costs for combat or POW oversight, on the contrary, it increases the number of allies...
It's no wonder national organizations have been jumping at this concept like ■■■■ and ■■■.
What led to this project was the discovery of a new fungal species (Idiomycete) called ■■■■・■■■■■ in ■■.
We manufactured bioweapons by integrating the Idiomycete genome into a pre-stage four human embryo, then culturing it under a specific environment for approximately 38 to 40 weeks.
We simply referred to the resulting organisms as "Test Subjects" and designated them "A~D Types", and though they were lacking in practicality with poor performance, they have culminated in the "E-Type" which has resolved multiple problems and been labeled respectively.
We collectively chose for the weapon to look like "a girl of about ten-years-old."
This was to make it easier for them to blend into social groups such as refugee or urban areas.
"Eveline" is the first E-Type Test Subject and can secrete the ■■■■・■■■■■ Idiomycete from her body tissues at will.
What's even more remarkable is that by implanting the fungus into other creatures, she is capable of "virtually controlling a target's body and consciousness."
Although there are many unknowns concerning the mechanism behind which Eveline accesses her targets, it may be mediated by pheromones called autoinducers, similar to the "quorum sensing" exhibited by Pseudomonas aeruginosa and luminescent bacteria.
The first stage of Eveline's control is "hallucinations."
Soon after infection, the carrier sees Eveline (who isn't actually there) and soon comes to hear her voice (which others cannot hear).
According to interviews with carriers, Eveline's apparition appears at first in a girlish and sweet manner, but is said to gradually start making more extreme orders and demands.
(Her demands include acts of self-mutilation and aggression toward others)
While carriers are being mentally assaulted and brainwashed in that fashion, their entire body's cells, including the brain, are steadily replaced by the Mold until the body is eventually transformed into ■■■■■■■■■.

This project was instigated in 2000 as one of several concepts for the company's NEXBAS (next-generation experimental battlefield superiority) initiative, working with technical assistance from H.C.F., to develop a bioweapon for neutralizing combatants en masse with minimal direct contact. NEXBAS was later folded, and all its assets diverted to this project.
What makes this project markedly different from conventional weapons is its ability to turn enemy combatants into allies; converting hostile elements into willing servants.
Since this effectively eliminates the costs of not only POW handling but also combat itself, it's no wonder we had the ◼︎◼︎◼︎ and even ◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎'s ◼︎◼︎◼︎ organization chomping at the bit to get on board.
The project would never have existed were it not for the discovery in ◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎ of ◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎, the remarkably progressed "vicariant evolution" fungus that we commonly term the "mutamycete".
The fabrication method for each bioweapon was to introduce the mutamycete genome to a pre-Stage 4 human embryo and perform cultivation in a controlled environment over a period of 38-40 weeks.
The resultant organisms were referred to as "candidate specimens" and graded based on usability, from the impractical and faulty Series A through D, to the perfected E-Series.
A common appearance was selected for the bioweapons; that of a roughly ten-year-old girl, to ensure ease of blending in with urban/refugee populations.
The first E-Series speciment, named Eveline, has proven capable of secreting the mutamycete ◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎ from her tissue at will.
It is also of note that Eveline's mutamycete imposes a profound control over body and mind when introduced into a host organism.
We still have a lot to learn about the mechanism by which Eveline achieves and maintains this control, but the working theory is that the vector is similar to the autoinducer pheromones used for quorum sensing in pseudomonas bacteria.
Eveline's control is exerted in a series of discrete stages, the first of which is hallucination.
Almost immediately after infection, the subject begins to see images of Eveline (though she is not in fact there) and hear her voice (which is inaudible to anyone else).
Auditions with infected subjects throughout the stages of infection reveal that at first, the phantom Eveline appears to be a normal young girl, sometimes desiring companionship or assistance. As time progresses, she begins making more and more extreme demands, including self-mutilation and attacks on other people.
The psychological shock this induces helps to break down the mind's natural barriers to Eveline's brainwashing effect, and by the time mental control is achieved, the mutamycete infection has progressed throughout the body's cells, so the body ◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎.

We've decided that the biological weapon should look like a young girl. That way it will be easy to slip it into groups of, for example, refugees.
In early ■■■■, 1999, Dr. Olivia ■■■'s team infected a human embryo with ■■ from ■■■■, creating four prototypes.
These were named, Dana, Dahlia, Darlene, and Dorothy.
The D-Series was able to control the thoughts of others by making them ingest a mold-like secretion.
The initial symptoms caused by this secretion are visual and auditory hallucinations, and ■■■■. The secretion also erodes the target's cerebral ■■■.
As the infection progresses, the target develops strong feelings of friendship towards the girls, and actively seeks to serve them.
It is also possible for the secretion to fuse with the target's somatic cells, causing mutations in the body's physical structure.

Eveline (E-001) has displayed remarkable results in performance tests against mice, ■■■■, monkeys, and humans. Finally, we have a biological weapon we can use.
Unfortunately, her metabolic functions are lacking, meaning she still requires doses of ■■■■■.
If ■■■■■ is not administered, the somatic cells age rapidly, and in a worst-case scenario ■■■■ may also occur.
An attendant will be required to administer regular doses of ■■■■■ to Eveline.
Having observed Eveline (E-001), we have noticed several interesting points:
・ Eveline has a tendency to regard the targets she gains control of as "family." It seems that gaining control of humans has a special meaning for her.

Those infected with D-Series secretions can be treated with a special serum.
The serum can be synthesized by ■■■■■■■■ing D-Series somatic cell tissue. In case of accidental infection, administer the serum as quickly as possible.
Be aware, however, that the serum is only effective against mild infections.
Administering the serum to those with severe infections can result in the infected cells coagulating and ■■■■, and may even result in death. Be sure to administer the serum at the appropriate time.
