Project Umbrella Translation
PHILOSOPHY OF "UMBRELLA"
Since many of our members are new to this mission, we would like to reiterate the philosophy of our Umbrella.
We were founded in 2007 as a PMC (private military company) formed by retired employees of the notorious pharmaceutical company "Umbrella."
Our purpose is "to expiate Umbrella's crimes"... in other words, to eradicate biological weapons.
Our mission is to exterminate B.O.W.'s that have proliferated throughout the world and apprehend or eliminate those seeking to create more B.O.W. disasters.
We are all fighting the crimes of the past.
The fact we dared name our company using the cursed Umbrella name is an expression of our will to redeem ourselves.
We hope those involved in the operation are prepared to live up to this philosophy.

本作戦からの参加となる隊員も多いため、ここに改めて我々「アンブレラ」の理念を記す。
PMC（民間軍事企業）としての創設は2007年、製薬企業として悪名高い「アンブレラ」退職者により結成された。
目的は「アンブレラの罪の清算」…つまり、生物兵器の根絶である。
我々の使命は、全世界に拡散したB.O.W.を討ち滅ぼし、
さらにB.O.W.災害を生み出そうとする輩を捕らえ、一掃することである。
我々は皆、過去の罪と戦っている。
企業名に、あえて呪われた「アンブレラ」の名を冠したのも、その贖罪の意志の表れである。
作戦に関わる者には、その理念に順ずる覚悟を持って欲しい。

LETTER REGARDING UMBRELLA'S GOALS
For many of you this is your first mission with us, so we wanted to make it clear what Umbrella is all about.
Though many of our staff hail from the infamous pharmaceutical giant Umbrella, our purpose is to make amends for the atrocities perpetrated under the Umbrella name. That is why we re-incorporated as a PMC in 2007.
We will put a stop to not only anyone who is engineering or selling bioweapons, but those who support those efforts as well.
We made a mess and now we have to clean it up. By keeping the Umbrella name, we show that we take responsibility for that mess and we want you to remember that you carry this responsibility with you in every mission.
