At dawn, the king's messenger arrived to announce our forces' withdrawal.
It would be a shame to surrender this fortress stronghold on the border to those pagans. If only we had a little more time, the course of the war would've changed.

In this land there are many ruins of an ancient people, whom the villagers refer to as "the prehistoric ones."

A cave mural engraved with coats of arms.
A stone pedestal called the Grail.
Where'd those people come from, and where'd they disappear to?

この地には、村人が「先史者」と呼ぶ古代人の遺跡がいくつも残されている。
祭祀場の巨大な四座像。
紋章の刻まれた洞窟壁画。
聖杯と呼ばれる石の台座。
彼らはどこから来て、どこに消えたのか？
それを知らず去ることこそ、真に口惜しい。

It is most vexing that we must abandon the border stronghold to those heretics. If I had but a little more time, I know I might e be able to turn the tides of this battle.
