Project Umbrella Translation
LOTT'S DIARY
September 10th
I saw some people at the game center today being guarded by the staff.
The guys all had blank eyes and some girls were even drooling.
Some glared at me like an enemy with half-hearted glares. They were all dressed in tattered clothing and smelled rotten from body odor. I can tell Dad and Commander Vincent are right now, these people are of a different, dumb race from us Umbrella ones.
Dad and the others say they're bringing them to this island so they can operate on them so they can become decent human beings, and I think they're right. The sooner we fix them, the better.
October 15th
I heard Commander Vincent killed a small group of people who tried escaping the prison. How could he do that? Sure they're inferior, but they didn't need to be killed. Why? What is it I've believed in? Weren't Dad and Umbrella supposed to fix those dummies with their magic? Why'd they kill them?
November 23rd
The entire city's in a panic!
Monsters are showing up all over and attacking people!
Yesterday, the Umbrella misters who'd been so kind to me started trying to hurt me. Somebody, anybody, please help us!
November 24th
Mom and Dad have become monsters too.
A survivor told me Commander Vincent turned the people of this city into monsters. I can't rely on adults anymore...
I alone have to survive and save my little sister Lily no matter what it takes!
Then the two of us are going to escape this city, together!!

今日、けいむしょにかんきんされている人をゲームセンターで見かけた。
やつらときたらみんなうつろな目をして、よだれを垂らしている女もいた。
反対にはんこう的な目でこっちをにらんでた奴もいた。みんな着ている服はボロボロで体からくさった匂いがしてた。パパやビンセント司令官が言うとおり、やつらはボクたちアンブレラの人間とは違うおろかな人種なんだってよく分かった。
パパたちは、あいつらをまともな人間にしてあげるために、この島に連れてきてしゅじゅつして治してあげるんだって言ってたけど、そのとおりだと思う。早く治してあげたほうがいいよね。
１０月１５日
ビンセント司令官が、集団だつごくした人たちを殺したんだって。どうしてこんなことになっちゃったの？確かにあの人たちは、ボクたちよりおとってるけど、殺すことはなかったはず。どうして？ボクの信じていたものって何だったの？アンブレラやパパたちは、おろかな奴らをしゅじゅつで治してあげるはずじゃなかったの？どうして殺しちゃったの？
１１月２３日
街中がパニックになってる！
あちこちに化け物が現れて、人をおそってるんだ！
昨日までボクに優しかったアンブレラのおじさんたちがボクを襲おうとしたんだ。誰か、誰か助けて！
１１月２４日
パパもママも化け物になっちゃった。
ビンセント司令官が街の人たちを化け物に変えたって生き残った人が言ってた。もう、誰も頼りになる大人はいない・・・・。
こうなったら、ボク一人だけでも生き残って、妹のリリィだけは何としても助けなくっちゃ！
そして二人でこの街を脱出するんだ！！

I saw some prisoners at the arcade today. They all had sleepy eyes. One of the girls even slavered. Some of the boys were glaring at me. They wore rugs and smelled rotten. Like dad and Commander Vincent told me, they are very different people from our Umbrella families. Dad told me that they bring them to this island so they can operate on them and make them into decent people. I think they are doing the right thing. I hope they will become decent people sometime soon.

I heard Commander Vincent killed those people who tried to escape from the prison. I wonder why such a thing happened? I know they are inferior to us, but did he have to kill them? Is this what I believed in? Umbrella and my dad were supposed to help the inferiors by operating on them... Why did he kill them?
