J'AVO
J'avo refers to a human transformed due to injection of the C-Virus.
They lose their sense of reason but display little or no decline in intelligence.
This can be seen in J'avo with their use of weapons and communicating between comrades who know the same language.
They have a tendency to faithfully repeat the orders they received prior to injecting the C-Virus, carrying them out with absolutely no fear even if the command's something dangerous or life-threatening. In addition, their body temperature's very high due to an effect of the virus. When injured, the virus activates and raises their temperature even further.
When it cannot keep up with repairing wounds, the intensified activity of the virus causes the body to heat up to the point of igniting, leading them to be incinerated to death.
When the recovery of wounds can't catch up, the body combusts due to escalation of the virus' activity, leading to death by incineration. In most cases, as long as the virus is still active, injuries that'd normally be fatal to the average human can regenerate within a short period of time.
One BSAA member described this terrifying biology in their diary.
---
"We've finally finished the operation in Eastern Europe and returned home. The enemy this time, the J'avo, is a completely new species different from the Plaga or Majini. They'd come at us while regenerating their wounds no matter how many times we shot them.
Moreover, their high intelligence and physical abilities make them move exactly like trained soldiers on the battlefield. It was still okay this time since it was a warzone, but what if these guys were unleashed on a city full of passive civilians...? It's terrifying to imagine..."

J'AVO
The C-Virus will turn human hosts into creatures called J'avo. These creatures lose all self control, but they fail to exhibit any noticeable drop in mental functions. This would explain reports of J'avo skillfully handling firearms and communicating with other J'avo in their country's native tongue. J'avo will tend to follow the final orders they were given before being infected with the C-Virus, and they will do this with no thought for their own safety or well-being.
The virus creates an intense febrile state in the host, and the more the host is damaged, the hotter it becomes. Many J'avo have been seen to succumb to their wounds, burning to death in bright, hot flames that engulfed their bodies.
