Follow-up investigation report on P-ε Gas
-This research report is urgent-
It has been discovered that if P-ε Gas is utilized against a B.O.W. (BIO ORGANIC WEAPON), it debilitates the target's resistance and weakens it. Therefore, although it was decided to make it a dispersal gas for emergency suppressions in the event of B.O.W.'s going out of control, it has become clear through further follow-up investigation that it causes an unexpected adverse effect.
Although P-ε Gas can suppress cellular activity and weaken B.O.W.'s due to this effect, if sustained over long periods of time, they will in response internally produce an antibody and adapt to the environment. On the contrary, we have documented a species capable of absorbing P-ε, breaking it down as nourishment, and using toxins extracted from this process as a weapon against external hostiles.
In other words, this indicates that use of P-ε Gas must be avoided as much as possible.
In light of the above, we request an immediate reevaluation of the P-ε Gas dispersal mechanism.

The P-Epsilon gas has been proven capable of incapacitating all known B.O.W.s (Bio-Organic Weapon). As such, it has been designated for emergency usage in the event of a B.O.W. escape. Reports based on data collected during the prior incidents indicate the potential for negative side effects.
The P-Epsilon has proven to weaken the B.O.W.s' cellular functions. However, prolonged exposures will result in the creation of adaptive antibodies to the agent. Furthermore, some species have been observed to absorb the P-Epsilon gas as a source of nutrition and use the toxins extracted against anything that is a threat. Use of P-Epsilon gas should be severely limited to extreme cases only. We strongly request the authority to re-evaluate the P-Epsilon gas development system. We would like this re-evaluation to take place immediately.

We decided to apply the gas under emergency situations in order to put down out-of-control B.O.W.'s, but according to the following investigation, an unexpected defect has been identified.
In order to avoid inhaling the P-ε Gas, the ε-based B.O.W. kept away from the area, which minimized its range of activity. After inhaling the gas, the result was that it was placed into a state of suspended animation. But due to prolonged exposure to P-ε Gas, an antibody began generating in its body which quickly caused it to adapt to the poisonous environment.
The B.O.W. could dissolve and absorb the P-ε Gas as a nutrient. Moreover, it has been confirmed that there is also a variant capable of extracting a poison in this way and utilizing it as a weapon to kill hostiles.
At present, the botanic ε-based B.O.W. "Plant 42" was confirmed almost uncontrollable, so research and production has been terminated, however other research using plants as hosts continues to progress in this facility.
