FOS
FOS (Field Operations Support) is an organization that was formed in order to strengthen the coordination between U.S. agents and their supporting operators scattered all over the world. By unifying agents placed in each different organization and managing operators under one organization, they succeeded in systematically opposing bioterrorism, which was growing in complexity year by year.
The organization was proposed by Adam Benford. It was inaugurated in 2011 with Leon S. Kennedy and Ingrid Hunnigan playing key roles. Currently, FOS mainly provides support of the agent organization DSO (Division of Security Operations), which Leon belongs to.
Due to the large-scale bioterrorism and President assassination incident that occurred in Tall Oaks, all agents were mobilized to assess the situation under the command of National Security Advisor Derek C. Simmons.

Its original mission was to provide support for agents from multiple U.S. intelligence agencies discharging their duties around the world. As the dangers posed by bioterrorism came to take priority for U.S. security, the FOS was evolved to oversee all operations that deal with response to and prevention of bioterrorism.
