THIRD ENERGY
An energy theory that was being developed by Dr. Kirk as the ultimate in clean energy. Although he continued to develop it with government assistance, that assistance was cut off when it was deemed to be technically impossible to realize. Nevertheless, he pressed ahead and forced an experiment three years ago, resulting in the destruction of the experiment facility as well as the alleged death of Dr. Kirk himself in the accident. The remaining research group was soon dismantled, and the <Third Energy> Project, along with the doctor who proposed it and the theory behind it, were completely forgotten on the stage of history.
The basic theory was to ionize the composition of the air, manipulate the flow of ions, then harness the resulting motion of electrons as energy, which was more efficient than power generating methods like thermal or nuclear power. It was said to have almost zero harmful byproducts. However, the academic community assessed that it would be virtually impossible to control the <Third Energy Reaction> from rising to excessive levels once it was generated, and that it would be impossible to stop it from running out of control. In addition, not all of the phenomena caused by the <Third Energy Reaction> itself are known, so it's impossible to know exactly what'll happen when a huge amount of energy's generated. The accident that killed Dr. Kirk is also thought to have been caused by a criticality reaction.
Special Operations Team
A unit of operatives belonging to an intelligence organization of a certain major country. However, the special ops team doesn't belong to the chain of command of the intelligence organization itself, but rather reports directly to the government. As a result, it's said to be capable of carrying out extrajudicial measures, but since its actual operational activities are rarely disclosed to the public, little is known about what sort of operations it actually carries out.
Borginia Republic
Although it's a small country in the South Seas, it's suspected of developing weapons. According to the report of an infiltrated intel agent, a person who appears to be Dr. Kirk, who's believed to have died in an accident during an experiment three years ago, has been seen at a military facility in this country.
Ibis Island
A small island belonging to the Borginia Republic. A thick jungle of tropical rainforest covers the whole island with a military facility hidden within it. There have been rumors about special weapons being developed here for some time. Of course, the Borginian government has issued statements denying this, so it's not clear what's actually being conducted there.

OPERATION ORDERS
An intel agent who infiltrated Ibis Island in the Borginia Republic reports that a person resembling Dr. Kirk, a scientist believed to be dead, has been identified. Since he's believed to be involved in a secret military project in the Borginia Republic, the operation's objectives are to verify the presence of Dr. Kirk himself and, if necessary, take him into custody. At the same time, one of the conditions for carrying out the mission is to gather as much information as possible about the military project underway and ensure he's repatriated. Of course, the operation's supposed to be conducted covertly, so engagement within the relevant area is to be avoided. The elimination of obstacles to conducting the operation is also prohibited unless unavoidable. The number of carried weapons should be kept to a minimum and no trace of infiltration should be left.
REGINA
An elite operative belonging to a special operations team under the direct command of a certain nation's government. She's a type of operative who takes advantage of her lightweight nature to demonstrate her skills, especially in short-term infiltration ops, having successfully spearheaded numerous ops to date. She's also an expert with firearms, including handguns, and enjoys modifying them to make them easier to use. During ops, she prefers to act on her own judgment as long as she doesn't deviate from command, tending to prefer to carry out her duties alone. She's a self-disciplinarian who spends most of her free time, including off-duty hours, training on her own initiative. She has no hobbies other than modifying firearms. No one knows how she wound up in this world. She personally rarely talks about herself. She's not one for speaking out loud about her own personality, but she won't change the fact she dyes her hair unless it interferes with her duties. She's stubborn to a fault, and once she decides to do something, she won't change her mind, but her team members trust her.
DR. KIRK
Age: 32
Height: 176cm
A physicist who advocated the "Third Energy" theory, considered the ultimate in clean energy. He became an authority on energy engineering at a young age with his Third Energy theory published at the age of 25. However, there was a great deal of opposition from the academic community and the unfeasibility of the Third Energy theory was widely publicized, resulting in the termination of government support and the loss of his own position. This was partly due to his own self-centered and emotionally unstable personality, which was unpopular with the mass media and the general public. After losing the government's support, he continued working on the project with a reduced number of people, but the accidental failure of the experiment and his own death prevented him from fulfilling his ambition.
KIRK INITIAL DESIGN DRAWING
Compared to the final design, Kirk's initial design had a calm expression. He seemed to have the image of a young genius scientist as well as that of a good-looking character who was tall with blonde hair.
