CONFINEMENT FACILITY
Jake Muller and Sherry Birkin were abducted by Neo Umbrella in the Republic of Edonia and confined to a Neo Umbrella laboratory in China.
This laboratory was built with a huge, ornate mansion as camouflage, making it impossible for anyone surrounding the building to know the laboratory exists. The mansion's manned by nearly a hundred J'avos on standby at all times, as well as many firearms and armored vehicles ready for immediate action in case of emergency.
A diary remains from a person charged with surveilling Jake and Sherry during the time they were confined.

"It's already been four months since our surveillance began. Jake Muller's quietly complying with our experiments here. I asked the guy monitoring Sherry Birkin and heard she's also meekly obeying as well.
Perhaps they're trying not to put up any unnecessary resistance out of concern for each other's safety. Apparently the Enhanced C-Virus will be completed in about two more months. Both of them will be useless when that happens. So I wonder what'll happen to them.
At any rate, I'm tired of staring at a half-naked man on the monitors day-in and day-out.
I wanna take over observing Sherry."

この研究所は、巨大で華美な邸宅をカモフラージュにして築かれており、建物周囲から研究所の存在を知ることは不可能である。邸宅内には、百体近いジュアヴォが常時待機しているだけでなく、数多くの銃器と装甲車が備えられており、非常時にも即応して戦闘態勢をとることが出来る。
ジェイクとシェリーが監禁されていた当時、その監視を任されていた人物の日記が残っている。
