～History of Our Mayor and City～
Greetings to you citizens, one and all!
You all know Raccoon City offers its residents outstanding safety and comfort.
Raccoon City is a city that attracted a factory of the ubiquitously clean company, Umbrella.
The company generously invested a large amount of financial support into welfare, policing and constructing public facilities.
1992, which marked my fifth year since becoming Mayor, was a memorable one for Raccoon City.
With Umbrella's financial support, our deteriorating city hall was renovated and a modern general hospital was also built within the city.
It was also the year a bronze statue of me was erected inside city hall in recognition of my efforts in service to the city.
I visited this town as an engineer over 35 years ago to work on electrifying the city, as well as install the street tramways.
It is the knowledge of our predecessors that has helped Raccoon City develop into the aspirational city we have today.
I swear an oath to uphold that tradition and devote myself to the further flourishing of the city.

ラクーンシティの治安のよさ、住みやすさはご存知の通りです。
ラクーンシティはクリーンな企業でおなじみのアンブレラ工場を誘致した都市です。
企業からの多額の援助金は、福祉や公共施設の建設、治安維持などに惜しみなく投資されています。
わたしが市長になって5年目を迎えた1992年はラクーンシティにとって記念すべき年でした。
アンブレラの援助金により老朽化が進んでいた市庁舎が改修され、近代的な総合病院も市内に建設されたのです。
街のために尽力した功績が認められ、市庁舎にわたしの銅像が建てられたのもこの年のことです。
三十五年以上も前に技術者としてわたしはこの街をおとずれ、街の電化を進めて路面鉄道を開通しました。
先人たちの知識がラクーンシティの発展をうながし、希望あふれる今日を手にすることができたのです。
わたしはその伝統を守り、街の発展にさらにこの身を捧げることを誓います。

The Tracks of Our City
Dear citizens,
Thanks to the kind and generous people of Umbrella Inc., this is a peacful and friendly city. The vast donations from Umbrella Inc., have been used for welfare work, the construction of public utilities, and to help maintain public peace. In 1992, it was my fifth year as mayor of our beautiful city. It was then that through many donations and hard work our city was able to rebuild the municipal building and create a state of the art hospital. In honor of these fine accomplishments, I was awarded with a grand statue that same year. The statue rests in the municipal building.
I came to this city as an engineer more than 35 years ago. I made contributions to the electric systems, and to the installation of the cable car. I pledge to follow the tradition of this fine city and will devote my life to its prosperity.
