CHRIS' CAREER
Chris was once enrolled in the United States Air Force and played an active role as a fighter pilot, but his personality and unbending beliefs conflicted with his superiors, and he retired. His combat abilities and plane flying techniques were valued, and afterwards he was scouted by S.T.A.R.S., the special operations unit of the Raccoon Police Department.
In 1998, he survived the biohazard commonly called the "Mansion Incident" that occurred in the outskirts of Raccoon City, and he began his own investigation into the pharmaceutical company Umbrella, the ringleaders of this incident which gained immense profits through B.O.W. development.
After Umbrella collapsed in 2003, he joined the anti-bioterrorism special operations force BSAA.
In Africa in 2009, he confronted Albert Wesker, who once belonged to Umbrella and was involved in much bioterrorism. By killing Wesker, he severed his long-standing quarrel with Umbrella.
Then in 2012, during an operation in the Republic of Edonia, he was entrapped by the terrorist organization Neo Umbrella and all of his subordinates except Piers were mutated into B.O.W.'s. He was attacked by them. An injured Chris lost his memory in the battle and spent days drowning in alcohol in a corner of Eastern Europe until he was found by Piers half a year later.
Chris, who could be called the icon of the BSAA, greatly shocked the entire organization when they heard he'd disappeared from the hospital. A copy of an e-mail sent to Piers shows each branch of the BSAA gave all possible cooperation while the search continued under Piers' command.

2009年には、かつてアンブレラに所属し、様々なバイオテロに関与してきたアルバート・ウェスカーとアフリカで対峙。ウェスカーを倒すことで長きにわたるアンブレラとの因縁を断ち切った。

CHRIS' FILE
Chris Redfield began his military career as a pilot in the United States Air Force. His unwillingness to compromise brought him into direct conflict with superiors. Unable to settle these differences, Chris retired from the Air Force.
He was then scouted by Raccoon City's special forces (S.T.A.R.S.) because of his superior fighting skills and pilot qualifications. After what came to be known as the Mansion Incident on the outskirts of Raccoon City, Chris set off on his own to stop Umbrella and make the world aware of the threat of bioweapons.
Following Umbrella's dissolution in 2003, Chris decided to join the BSAA and continue the fight. This brought him to Africa in 2009, and into direct conflict with his former boss, Albert Wesker. Chris killed Albert during the operation, and he was finally able to put to rest all the ghosts of Umbrella and Raccoon City.
In 2012, during an operation in Edonia, all his BSAA soldiers except for Piers Nivans are turned into B.O.W.s. Chris suffered from head trauma that led to amnesia, and it wasn't until six months later that Piers was able to find him again. Chris was a large part of the BSAA, and it was a big shock to the organization when he was reported missing from the hospital. The search for him was led by Piers and all branches of the BSAA helped in any way they could.
