Leon S. Kennedy began his new post as a rookie police officer in the local Raccoon Police Department.
Groups of dead people writhed in the town and he saved Claire Redfield from an attacking Zombie.
The younger sister of Chris of S.T.A.R.S., she came to the town worried about her brother.
The two aimed for a safe place, the police station.
They arrived at the police station, but the organization had already been wiped out and the two of them were divided searching for escape routes and survivors somehow.
Meanwhile, Leon encountered an enigmatic civilian in the basement parking lot, the woman Ada.
Claire helped a girl also running about trying to escape.
She said her name was Sherry and she was separated from her parents.
Leon discovered they could make their way to an Umbrella research facility via the sewers from the police station's basement, and believed it to be their only way to escape.
But a horrifying and powerful monster awaited there.

Leon S. Kennedy is R.P.D.'s newest police officer and has arrived in Raccoon City for his first day on the job.
The town is swarming with zombies and shortly after reaching town, Leon has to save Claire Redfield from an attacking zombie.
Claire is S.T.A.R.S. team member Chris Redfield's younger sister and has come looking for her brother.
The two flee together to the safest location they can think of - the R.P.D. police station.
The manage to reach the station, but find that the police force has already be devastated. The two decide to split up to try and look for survivors and an escape route.
While exploring the expansive police station, Leon meets Ada Wong in the parking garage and they continue exploring together. Meanwhile, Claire finds and rescues a young girl. She tells Claire that her name is Sherry and that she got separated from her parents.
