The local Raccoon City Police Department dispatched the special forces S.T.A.R.S. Bravo Team to investigate, but engine trouble occurred in their transport helicopter and it crashed in the forest.
The team barely escaped and discovered a completely wrecked patrol wagon and cruelly murdered Marines.
Enrico, Captain of Bravo Team, gave a search order for the escaped prisoner Billy Coen.
Rookie officer Rebecca Chambers discovered a train stopped in the woods and attempted to investigate.
It seemed that some sort of accident occurred on the train, and all the passengers were dead.
However, the corpses suddenly began to move and attacked her.
Among the living corpses, the prisoner Billy helped her out of the desperate situation.
To survive this hell, Rebecca tried to cooperate while doubting Billy, who bore a substantial crime of killing 23 people.
Out of nowhere, the train moved and began to go out of control.
As things stood, a collision was certain, and the two tried to apply the brakes on the train to stop it.
Although the stop wasn't entirely enough and the train overturned, the two somehow got down safely.
Umbrella's executive training school was waiting where they arrived.

23人を殺した大罪を負っているﾋﾞﾘｰを疑いながらも、この地獄を生き抜くためにﾚﾍﾞｯｶは共闘を試みる。
いつのまにか列車が動き出し、暴走し始める。
このままでは衝突は確実で、二人は列車にﾌﾞﾚｰｷをかけ、止めようとする。
停止は完全には間に合わず、列車は横転するが、二人はなんとか無事に降り立つのだった。
たどりついたそこにはｱﾝﾌﾞﾚﾗの幹部養成所が待ち受けていた。

The city's elite special forces unit S.T.A.R.S. sent their Bravo Team to the scene. However, due to a mysterious engine failure, Bravo Team's helicopter crash-landed in the forest.
Bravo Team narrowly escaped with their lives and stumbled onto a heavily damaged prison convoy and the brutally dismembered corpses of the Marines in charge. Enrico Marini, Bravo Team's commander, ordered that a search be made for Billy Coen, a former Marine who escaped from the convoy.
The newest member of Bravo team, Rebecca Chambers, discovered a train
stopped in the woods and went inside to investigate. Apparently the train had met with some kind of accident as she found all of the passengers dead.
One of the supposedly dead passengers came to life and attacked Rebecca.
Completely surrounded and facing certain death, the prisoner Billy Coen was responsible for her rescue. Rebecca was still suspicious of Billy, but realized that they needed to work together if they wanted to survive the nightmare.
Shortly after, the train suddenly started to move. It accelerated and was rapidly approaching dangerous speeds.
