ANTI-UMBRELLA ACTIVIST NET INTERVIEW
Reporter:
The topic of the trial continues to find itself in the TOP3 among search engines and also shows significant hits among netizens.
It's also true there are some who frown on your aggressive battle.
What are your thoughts?
Sara:
Umbrella was a powerful organization more akin to a military or nation over a mere commercial enterprise.
That's why we as citizens had to fight their devious cover-up.
Sara:
These fierce legal battles have been waging for nearly five years and we believe the ruling of Umbrella's guilt was definitely the right course of action.
Reporter:
Those tactics are unavoidable when it comes to a powerful organization.
In this sense, will it finally take a load off your minds?
Sara:
One problem's been solved.
But I still have a rather scary doubt I'm not so keen to let go of.
Reporter:
A doubt? What exactly do you doubt?
Sara:
Two things are clear.
One, why'd the physical evidence establishing Umbrella's guilt only emerge now?
Sara:
The other's the question of why that "evidence" is still being kept secret.
Reporter:
There appears to be a lot of speculation about that.
Sara:
From the trial records, we can assume the "evidence" is some sort of data saved to a computer.
Something Umbrella had kept hidden until its dying breath, perhaps.
Another of the most popular theories is that its secrecy is due to the fact it can't be revealed to the public because it contains damaging information on foreign nations, as well as our own government.
Sara:
Rumor also has it that this evidence itself was procured by doing business with some sort of sociopathic organization.
Reporter:
But Umbrella's been devastated.
Hasn't the major problem been solved?
Sara:
Umbrella's evil deeds have been brought to light.
However, neither the critical virus manufacturing processes or bioweapons data were made public.
I suspect that information hasn't vanished, but rather secretly fallen into the hands of another.
That is, into the hands of a dark heir.
Reporter:
A dark heir... is that so?
Sounds like something you'd hear on a TV drama.
Sara:
It's easy to laugh at it like some cliché spy novel.
But for me, it's a dread I can't overlook.
Man is foolish.
Sara:
They've witnessed a fearsome power that destroyed a city, yet they've acquired it and are trying to use it for their own ends.
No matter the cost.
I fear Umbrella's case may be just the first stage of the horror.
Rather, the case has only just begun.
The trial's conclusion, full of mysteries as it is, clearly testifies to this.

Net

ONLINE INTERVIEW WITH ANTI-UMBRELLA ACTIVIST
Reporter:
The trial is the talk of the internet, and queries on popular search engines continue to make the top three list. However, there are many who raise their eyebrows at your battle against the multinational corporation as carrying things too far. What is your opinion on this?
Sara:
Umbrella is not just another out-for-profit corporation; they are a powerful organization closely resembling an army or a country. We have no choice but to wage war this way on a company trying to cover up the truth. We have battled in court for almost half a decade now to reach a verdict against Umbrella, and we would do it again if given the choice.
Reporter:
So you're the David fighting the Goliath of Umbrella. However, now that a decision has been handed down, the problem's solved, right?
Sara:
One problem was solved, but some doubt still remains, and I feel it's too early to celebrate our victory.
Reporter:
Doubt? And what doubt would that be?
Sara:
There are two questions we need to ask ourselves. First, why is it that it has taken so long for evidence against Umbrella to appear? Why now? Second, why is the nature of that evidence still being concealed to this day?
Reporter:
There are a lot of popular theories flying around about that one.
Sara:
Take a look at the court records. It seems as if the evidence was data being stored on a computer. Umbrella must have been hiding it right to the very end. The most likely reason none of this evidence has gone public is that it contains information that would incriminate many world governments, including our own. This evidence is also rumored to have been acquired from dealings with an anti-social organization.
Reporter:
But Umbrella's gone. Certainly that means the biggest menace is out of the way right?
Sara:
Have the wrongdoings of Umbrella come to light? Certainly. But all of the data on virus production and biological weaponry has not. I don't feel the data has been erased, but that it has ended up in someone's hands, someone who will inherit Umbrella's dark legacy.
Reporter:
Inheriting a dark legacy? That sounds like something out of a TV show.
Sara:
It's easy to laugh and dismiss it as some movie of the week story. However, if there is any chance that such a possibility is true, it is worth our concern. Humans can be foolish creatures.
Even after witnessing the destructive might that wiped out an entire city, someone could still steal that power and try to use it to further their own ambitions, regardless of the price to be paid. Umbrella may only be the beginning of this nightmare. The mystery surrounding the court decision makes that much pretty obvious.
