ADA AND THE RACCOON INCIDENT
In 1998, Ada Wong infiltrated Raccoon City at the request of Albert Wesker, the father of Jake Muller.
She was tasked with recovering the "G-Virus" that Sherry Birkin's father William schemed to take for himself. While carrying out the order Ada was thwarted by Annette, Sherry's mother and William's wife, who refused to hand over the virus her husband developed, but she successfully obtained a sample of the virus by using Leon S. Kennedy whom she met in Raccoon City. She successfully returned to Wesker.
In 2004, Ada received instructions from Wesker to travel to a remote region in Europe and obtain the "Plaga" parasite. Ada was reunited with Leon and, by once again using Leon, she seized the Plaga sample from him and accomplished her mission.
Afterwards, without handing the Plaga sample to Wesker, Ada escaped with the sample in her possession for the sake of achieving her own "true purpose." Even Wesker, who sought to use a virus to rule the world, was in truth nothing more than a pawn for Ada to achieve her real goal.
Before long, Wesker also lost his life following a battle with the BSAA in Africa. News of "Wesker's death" soon spread through the underworld and reached Ada's ears.
A note she wrote at that time and left behind has been located.

"Intel's come in that Wesker's been killed in action against the BSAA. I was in league with him for quite some time for the benefit of the true purpose I must fulfil. Though I'm not upset, I can't deny I feel just a tad empty toward the loss of such a powerful figure.
Having saturated the underworld with B.O.W.'s and taken a controlling hand in its hegemony, I think Wesker's death will repaint the varied power structures on both sides. Requiring attention for the time being is how The Family led by Simmons will make their move.
As ever though, no matter what happens, my true purpose remains unwavering. And it always will."

1998年、エイダ・ウォンはジェイク・ミューラーの父であるアルバート・ウェスカーからの依頼を受け、ラクーンシティに潜入していた。
エイダに課せられたオーダーは、シェリー・バーキンの実父ウィリアムが独占をもくろむ「Ｇ-ウィルス」を回収すること。オーダーの遂行にあたり、エイダは夫の開発したウィルスを渡すまいとするシェリーの母でありウィリアムの妻、アネットから妨害を受けるが、ラクーンシティで出会ったレオン・S・ケネディを利用してウィルスのサンプル入手に成功。ウェスカーの元へ帰還を果たした。
2004年、エイダはウェスカーからの指示を受け、寄生体「プラーガ」を入手するためヨーロッパの辺境へ赴く。そこでレオンと再会を果たしたエイダは、再びレオンを利用し、彼からプラーガのサンプルを奪取し、任務を遂行した。
その後、エイダはウェスカーにプラーガのサンプルを渡すことなく、自身の「真の目的」を達成するため、サンプルを持って逃亡する。エイダにとっては、ウィルスを使って世界を支配しようとしたウェスカーすら本当の目的を達成するための駒でしかなかったのだ。
やがてそのウェスカーも、BSAAとの戦いの末、アフリカにおいて命を落とす。"ウェスカー死す"の情報は間もなく裏社会を駆け巡り、エイダの耳にも入った。
そのとき、彼女が書き残したメモがある。

In 1998, Albert Wesker, Jake Muller's father, sent Ada Wong on a mission in Raccoon City to retrieve a sample of the G-Virus William Birkin was hoarding for himself. When William's wife Annette interfered with that mission, Ada used Leon Kennedy to have him unwittingly aid her. Ada then made her way back to Albert with a sample of the virus in hand.
In 2004, Albert ordered Ada to Europe to obtain a sample of the Las Plagas parasite. There she encountered Leon again and ended up stealing the parasite sample he had procured. She did not, however, hand the sample to Albert. She kept it for herself and went off the grid. She had her own intentions for keeping the virus. She was not going to allow herself to be a pawn in Albert's plan for global domination.
Ada eventually learned of Wesker's death in Africa. Below is a memo written by her during this time.

I just got word that the BSAA took down Wesker. I can't say that I'm saddened by this, but he was a large part of my plans while we were partners. I feel almost a slight emptiness inside.
He had a very large impact on many, and held the reins on bioterrorism. I'm interested to see how this changes things, but for now, I need to keep my eye on Simmons and his organization, The Family.
No matter what happens, I will never lose sight of my ultimate goal.
