About the Comic
BIOHAZARD 3 LAST ESCAPE was published by the Tinghangse Publishing Company in 1999 as a loosely based manhua adaptation of CAPCOM’s survival horror classic of the same name. The BIO3 comics were released exclusively in Hong Kong with a total of twenty-six issues throughout its run, followed by nine additional issues as part of its Supplemental Edition run, before concluding with BIOHAZARD CODE:Veronica. This series would be amongst a number of installments on the BIO games that did not receive publication outside of China, including BIOHAZARD 0 and BIOHAZARD 2. These comics have never before been translated from Chinese to English in its entirety until now.
About the Translation

The following translation was performed by one of our affiliates, the multi-talented Lunar Indie Studios, and the rest of this disclosure is from Lunar himself…
To all inquiring readers, I (Lunar) have no experience in translating Chinese and used translation devices to perform the work. I do not claim complete accuracy, and am willing to make compromises and edits if corrected so by translators or natives with more experience than myself. Although I do feel like the translation is accurate enough to understand the structure of the text and the meaning remains the same, certain creative liberties were taken to make this a more enjoyable read.
This translation of the Biohazard 3 – Last Escape manhua is of Westernized English, which is the changing of the direct translation form Chinese to English, but customized to make the comic more grammatically correct for English speaking fans. None of the context is changed of course, the lore and overall plot remains the same, however, I simply made the sentences easier to read.
As for creative liberties, examples like the Nemesis t-Type being referred to as the “Sniper” throughout the original translation. To ensure a truer adaption with the original game, the name was kept as the Nemesis or the Pursuer. Another example would be the mass-produced T-103s being initially referred to as T-002s (the original Tyrant from the first Resident Evil game). This clarification has been rectified. Plot points, however, remain hardly adjusted as to stay true to the original writing of this series, rather than altered to match up to lore that would be revealed after the series’ release.
