ALEXANDER'S NOTES
My father Edward discovered the Progenitor Virus in collaboration with fellow nobleman Lord Spencer and repeated studies for military application.
Before long, research results began to take shape, and variants of the Progenitor Virus came to be generally designated as T-Virus.
In order to camouflage this research, Father and others established Umbrella Pharmaceuticals.
I, his son, specialized in genetic engineering and advanced a classified project in order to support Father's research.
However, Father passed away in the midst of the project and my research ran into difficulties.
By my generation, we had significantly fallen behind other researchers in T-Virus research, soiling the Ashford family name which dawned from our magnificent founder, Veronica.
Spencer will dominate Umbrella at this rate.
I must accelerate the project with immediate effect so Spencer will not detect it.
Taking anything and everything into consideration, I have decided to make arrangements for an extensive cutting-edge research installation within the transport terminal, using the remains of an abandoned Antarctic mine.
Inside the facility I will have them build identical rooms based on the blueprints of my estate, left behind by the late Trevor.
For confidentiality, I have decided to refer to this top-secret project by a codename.
It is Veronica, the beautiful founder of the Ashfords, of whose reincarnation I solemnly dream of.
Research results worthy of her name will no doubt bring glory to the Ashfords once more.

その研究をカモフラージュするために父達はアンブレラ製薬を設立した。
息子の私は遺伝子工学が専門で、父の研究をサポートするための極秘プロジェクトを進めていた。
しかし、私の研究は難航しプロジェクト半ばにして父は亡くなってしまった。
私の代で、Ｔ－ウィルスの研究において他の研究者に大きく遅れを取り、偉大なる始祖ベロニカから始まるアシュフォードの家名を地に落としてしまった。
このままでは、アンブレラをスペンサーに支配されてしまう。
スペンサーに悟られぬ様、プロジェクトを早急に進めなければならない。
私は全てを考慮し、南極の廃坑跡を利用した輸送ターミナルに大規模な最新研究設備を用意することにした。
設備内には今は亡きトレバーが残した我が屋敷の設計図を基に同じ部屋を造らせよう。
