Albert Wesker was one of the most promising subjects of the Wesker Project. Following his education, he became a Chief Researcher and prospective executive of Umbrella Corporation. He was an expert in bioengineering and became directly involved with research on the t-virus. He later became the leader of S.T.A.R.S. as Alpha Team Captain in Raccoon City.

Wesker's Report II (ウェスカーズリポートII) is a series of five records written by Albert Wesker which elaborates on his past. It was first released weekly in five parts on the official biohazard website in 2002, and later published in the "biohazard Kaitai Shinsho" guidebook. Revised fragments of the report are featured in BIOHAZARD UMBRELLA CHRONICLES as archive files.

Wesker's Report I is a chronicle told from the perspective of Albert Wesker which details his views and actions behind-the-scenes of the events in BIO HAZARD, BIOHAZARD 2 and BIOHAZARD 3 LAST ESCAPE.

The Uroboros virus (alternate spelling: Ouroboros virus) was a virus derived from the Progenitor virus, developed by Tricell and central to the "Uroboros Project" advanced by Albert Wesker. It was a "perfect virus" which eliminated the weaknesses of other engineered RNA viruses. It was designed to recognize a host's DNA and "select" them based on whether they possessed superior genes. Hosts who were chosen would gain superhuman abilities and become controlled.

WESKER'S REPORT "TYRANT PROJECT PROBLEM"

Our research went into the third stage.

Obedient, proficient memory power, observes orders quickly.
A trained, strengthened body, able to be used without rest, and without expressing complaint.
The ultimate Bio Organic Weapon for combat, a package only ideal as a soldier...
It was to create a monster nicknamed "Tyrant."

However, there was a large barrier in the research from the beginning.
The acquisition of an "organism" to become the basis of the Tyrant was difficult.

This is because human adaptation as a "Tyrant" genetically was very limited.
