GNEZDO
A C-Virus carrier reborn at the end of its mutation. Gnezdo means "nest" in an Eastern European language.
Countless small creatures that look like bees gather together and form a human figure. Like ants and bees, they act in swarms, and each individual has a respectively different role in it.
Unlike the ecology of the insects mentioned above, a kind equal to a queen bee carries a commanding role rather than breeding,. In the Gnezdo's case, since the queen individual shares sensory nerves with the others, once that individual is eliminated the others will also vanish.
On the other hand, the group survives as long as the queen lives. Normally, the queen individual hides within the swarm to protect itself, but when the swarm is attacked, the creatures responsible for protecting it disperse, rendering it visible.
---
"I thought it was a person at first. A woman, I figured.
But when it got closer, all I saw was a swarm of bugs in the shape of a human. I got scared and ran away, but the human shape just turned into a swarm of bugs that attacked me.
They were biting my entire body, and I was covered in blood... No matter how hard I fought, there was nothing I could do since they were just a bunch of tiny bugs. It's a miracle I made it out alive..."
...That's the testimony of a local who encountered a Gnezdo in China.

GNEZDO
The Gnezdo is a creature that results from high-level mutation brought on by exposure to the C-Virus. Gnezdo is derived from the Serbian word for "hive."
These small creatures have the appearance of hornets, and they can form a swarm that mirrors the size and shape of a human being. Just as with ants and bees, the Gnezdo behave with a hive mindset, but each individual creature has its own role to play.
Where the Gnezdo differ is that their queen does not continue to propagate the species, but serves only as a commander, giving out orders like a general to an army. The sensory perceptions are shared between the queen and the individual Gnezdo. If the queen is lost, the swarm will dissolve; as long as she lives, however, the swarm will remain intact and follow her commands.
The queen is hard to spot among the swarm as it attempts to conceal and protect her. An attack on the swarm will momentarily scatter the Gnezdo, revealing the queen and exposing her to danger.
---
-Record of a Gnezdo-attack victim
I thought it was a woman standing there at first, but then I got closer and saw that it was a huge swarm of bugs in the shape of a woman. I freaked out and tried to run, but they came after me. There wasn't anything I could do against them. They nibbled at me until I was covered in blood. I was lucky to survive.
