Basically a thread to list what games you plan and hope to get this year. The longer, the bigger the facepalm your wallet makes. So let's have it.
- Starhawk
- FIFA Street
- Journey
- Ghost Recon: Future Soldier
- Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City
- Resident Evil 6
- Bioshock Infinite
- Mass Effect 3
- Xenoblade Chronicles
- Ni No Kuni
- Lollipop Chainsaw
- DMC
- SSX
The sad thing is those are just games that're confirmed and set to release this year. I have atleast another dozen or so games, like - Fortnite, Overstrike, Metal Gear Rising, The Last of Us, and The Last Guardian that don't have release dates. And titles like The Last Story that I don't even know if are even gonna get localized to North America.
...and on top of all that, a back list of atleast 7-10 games I've yet to get from the previous years and gens. Yep, gaming is really taking the piss out of my schedule this gen. Last gen, maybe 30-40 titles per console spanning 6-7 years. Now it's like 10+ titles per year, and online gaming! bonkers, indeed.
Anyways, hopefully you don't have it as bad as I do. Would like to see what you guys have planned, though. Could probably swap PSN IDs/Gamer Tags for some of the online games =)

First of all, I'm a huge fan of Mass Effect so naturally I had to put in my preorder for the N7 Collector's Edition of Mass Effect 3. Unfortunately, it will cost about £70 which means I won't have any money aside to buy anything else. However, what I can do is list older games which I bought in 2012. Since I was late to the party and bought an Xbox 360 last December, I'm able to pick up a lot of major releases for dirt cheap nowadays.
While I'm not a fan of first-person shooters, I've been getting into the Halo series again since for once it isn't a first-person shooter where you "aim down the sights". In that regard it plays a little more like a classic first-person shooter, e.g. Perfect Dark, GoldenEye 007, etc.
Back in the day, a friend and I played through and completed both Halo CE and Halo 2 on the Xbox. Even though it was many years ago now, the knowledge of what's happened so far in the series is still known to me, as such I picked up a copy of Halo 3: ODST which to date is my favourite release. Very dark and moody atmosphere, almost reminscient of Blade Runner. Managed to finish the game a few weeks ago, now I'm playing through Halo: Reach.
Just wish I had the time to sit down and blitz through the campaign, since I'm really enjoying it so far. That's another thing I'm drawn to Halo about, the fact that it actually has a very interesting narrative and backstory. Well, certainly more interesting than the usual run-and-gun snoozefest that is Call of Duty.
Anyway, I have to admit that there ARE new releases coming out this year that I am interested in. Mass Effect 3 being the first and foremost. I have mixed reactions to Syndicate, while from a design perspective it reminds me of the exceptional Deus Ex: Human Revolution, the gameplay just screams Call of Duty at me.
Which is a real shame since Starbreeze have some good ideas thrown into the mix. I'll hold off on that one for the time being, but I'll be lying if I said it doesn't appeal to me. Operation Raccoon City? I'll wait for that to hit the bargain bins before I make a purchase, I don't see it being a day one purchase at all for me. BioShock Infinite, we still haven't seen an awful lot about that game though I have complete faith in Ken Levine.
Now I'm just waiting on Ubisoft to announce the next Splinter Cell game so I can get my fix.
On my list are RE6 and ORC, obviously. Also Prototype 2 and Aliens: Colonial Marines. That's about it.

Shit, Colonial Marines! I forgot about that one. Thank you for reminding me.
Hmmm, ORC and RE6 is a given. Perhaps even a 3DS prior to my holiday. Doubt it though.
The MGS HD collection is a possibility as is the Jak and Daxter collection for PS3. Also Silent Hill Downpour as well.
I also need to pick up Arkham City soon.

Neo Umbrella - that's a great name! ~~ BatMan
- Resident Evil 6
- Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City
- Final Fantasy XIII-2
- Silent Hill Downpour
All are on my list of games this year. Well, 2012 is the best year ever 'cause there are a lot of games that will be released this year. I can't wait to play them all.

I personally buy those games, which are only for my universe-fan purposes, so I don't have an effort to play every new released thing. Thus situation about my wallet will be relatively all right.
So my game plan for 2012 : RE games + Max Payne 3 and Prototype 2. That´s all.
Sometimes I do that too. I buy those games cause I want to have them or maybe cause I want them for my collection. Besides, I want to try playing them also.

Well, RE6 is on my radar too but I'm not worrying about that as it's still over half a year away until release. I'm very divided about the MGS HD Collection, it's not a priority. Besides, I picked up the Splinter Cell HD Collection which despite not having the same level of care is a superior stealth action series. It's painful for me to say that but MGS has gone downhill as a series, it's the reason why we aren't seeing a Snatcher remake or anything new from Kojima.
Naturally, I blame the teenage fanboys who'll throw money at anything related to Metal Gear. Probably a bigger cash cow than Resident Evil, and that's saying something.
Oh, that sucks.

- Resident Evil ORC
- Resident Evil 6
- Silent Hill: Downpour (depends on impressions of the game)
- GODDAMN DIBALO 3!!!
- Skullgirls
I'm writing this list under the assumption that all the games will either come out this year, ro somewhen within the next few years. They're not all specifically 2012, but they're my "watching & wanting" games.
- Tomb Raider
- Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning
- The Darkness 2
- Resident Evil 6
- Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City
- Silent Hill Downpour
- Corpse Party
- Lollipop Chainsaw
- Aliens: Colonial Marines
- Dear Esther
- Last of Us
- Dragons Dogma
- Prototype 2
- Mass Effect 3
- Bioshock Infinite
- Uncharted: Golden Abyss
- Journey
Ugh, I'm having a hard time actually remembering any of the others though I know there are more...that's either a good or bad thing for those games :s
Resident Evil 6
Aliens: Colonial Marines
RE: ORC
Diablo 3
Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm
The last of us
Is that getting a re-release?
It's not out in the UK yet, though I know it's already out in the US. Read a review in Edge, and it sounds awesome.
I forgot Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.

Has that been delayed this long in Narnia? j/k
*Upcoming:
Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City
Resident Evil 6
Street Fighter x Tekken
Prototype 2
*Shit I Still Need To Get:
Tekken Hybrid
Metal Gear Solid HD Collection
Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3
I've realised I should also add the South Park RPG coming from Obsidian to my list. Sounds like (finally) a decent attempt at a South Park game...so I'm likely to be pre-ordering that as soon as it becomes available.
Silent Hill: Downpour, Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City (maybe), Resident Evil 6.

Counter Strike Global Offensive. I loved the original CS up to 1.6 but CS Source was terrible.
Grand Theft Auto 5

Games that might be coming out in the future
Half Life 2 Episode 3
Empire Earth 4
No love for WipEout 2048???

Silent Hill HD Collection is at the top of my list at the moment. I finally want to play SH! About 7 years ago I tried to play the first one on my friend's PS1. Guess what? I was too scared to continue. I'll give it another shot and since I don't own a PS I figured it wouldn't hurt to get the SH HD Collection for Xbox.
And then there's RE ORC of course. And RE6.
SH1 isn't part of the HD collection, so you're still SOL for the first game if you still want to play it. It is available over PSN however, if you happen to have a PS3 or PSP.
Really worth playing the first game through to completion.
There are only three I looked/am looking forward to:
