Resident Evil: Revelations

It looks very awesome (Jill, Chris, HUNK, a boat, the Spencer Estate, a guy in a chair that looks like Chris, oh my) too bad I won't be able to play it (the Metal Gear Solid Rising trailer sold me on the game).

I heard something about a new RE game to coincide with the new movie. But this?!  Is this a sequel to RE5, and is that a screen from Lost in Nightmares? Will the game really look like that on 3DS?

I demand more info!

When's the Capcom conference?!

It's probably before RE5 actually, with Jill not having her blond hair...there's info about it already, but no trailer, though the press have already confirmed that there was one and a playable build too.

Well, for those of us who remember the RE 4 drought, this is good news.

...this time Capcom has gave us quite an impression, huh? 

It might have something to do with the guy in the chair, since (to me at least) he also looks like Chris.

Hmm... It looks like Jill is covering the guy in the chair and Chris standing up with her two guns, so maybe we have an imposter masquerading as Chris and she is trying to decipher who is real through interrogation or something. This would explain why Chris is also aiming at his 'twin' while Jill is holding them both at gunpoint.

Perhaps thats Steve only Wesker changed how he looked so no one would know it was him and that might be an older Claire. Or who knows it might be Bruce Mcgivern and the boat might be a flashback to the Spencer Rain. Knowing the touched screen based style of the DS it might be a Chronicles esque game retelling the Russia incident, Dead Aim, and LiN.

I dont think it's a screen from Lost in Nightmares, the clothes look similar, but Jill doesn't have her cap on. Her clothes look slightly different. They probably wear a standard uniform for the various missions, I guess. I don't know and who's to say. But at the very least, it has grabbed our attention.

As long as it's a new story then I'm pleased.  Hopefully some new Portable information as well meaning the handheld markets going to be covered with RE!  Great stuff!

I'm just glad we get to see what happened with HUNK post-Umbrella (or, at least, that better be him!). The title already gets my hopes high that our many questions will be answered.

Just want to point out that Chris isn't point his gun at the man in the foreground. He's pointint it back at Jill. So Jill and Chris are pointing guns at eachother... Very strange indeed.

Mr. Duvall, don't be rediculous. That's Jill in her BSAA uniform. Claire wouldn't wear the same uniform, and she isn't in the BSAA anyways. Degeneration confirmed that she took the less-violent approach to bringing down Umbrella and it's rivals.

These screenshots whilst beautiful pose more questions than answers......a shot that appears to be straight out of LIN, the Mexican stand-off between Chris & Jill, mysterious figure, and THAT boat.....I fear unlikely to be a Dead Aim inclusion. HUNK you must be very excited about the Mr Death's return.......which I think will be from his Biohazard 2 days.

The title Revelations may provide us with a game, that includes instalments from past main titles, yet providing further insight via new playable characters, and previously un-seen episodes.

I thought at first that 1 of those Chris's was an evil clone, but then presumably that would then be the one pointing his gun at Jill !

What if that "clone" is that BOW from Gaiden, which can look like anyone? I hope it's not, but it's just a suggestion.

I hope this game shows what happened to Alex after (s)he disappeared with all the research.

Maybe Chris and Jill had info about someone looking like Wesker in the ship, so they decided to infiltrate the ship (well, i assume Alex has a genetic make up not too different from Wesker's. They can even be brothers). If Spencer kept a few members of the USF as his personal special forces and he had a lead that Alex was in the ship, that would explain why HUNK (or someone with that uniform) is in the ship too.

Alex disappeared from Spencer. Period. He never had a chance to hunt him down before his death. And Alex (confirmed to be male thanks to Japanese file translation, BTW) may be a Wesker child, but they all came from different parents, so nothing implies that any of them had similar genetic make-up other than their intellectual level. Plus, I would have to doubt Spencer went after kids that looked the same, because then his new world would be filled with people sharing the same, or at least very similar faces! That would be pretty annoying... 

They must have some genetic simmilarities to survive the Wesker virus, because Spencer probably had the virus selecting some specific genetic characteristics (otherwise the process would be completely random). Being brothers (or any other blood link) would only increase the simmilarities, but of course they're probably not.

Well, Spencer only wrote Alex disappeared. He didn't write anything about looking for him, but also didn't write anything about not looking for him, so we cannot be sure of either.

Only Albert survived the viral infection. The other died due to theirs, meaning the chances of them being related to him are slim to none.  Alex was never indicated as having been infected because he was the first, I do believe.

I'm starting to think they shifted the project to the 3DS and left Sony's handheld without a RE title.

If you're talking about the E3, there's no Capcom conference, they already show everything they have to show on Nintendo's one. No RE PSP.

Wise move shifting to 3DS, since PSP is pulling the "gaming from the cloud" bit. A game this epic wouldn't work as a download title. As far as I know they aren't making physical PSP game discs anymore.

I was so excited when I saw the screencaps for this new game, and I'm unsure if what we've seen is really in-game. I'd hate to find out this turns out to be like... I dunno, a card battle game or something. I'm sure it's not, but damn that would suck.

Anyway, to see Chris and Jill together is awesome, and you know, I too noticed that Jill seemed to be pointing her weapon at Chris. This confuses me, as well as the identity of the figure sitting between a standing Chris and Jill. That idea brought up, the doopleganger, seems alright, but it always tends to end up with the copy surviving and real person dying or being lost somewhere. I dunno, I may just be thinking of the upset of that show Fringe.

As to when this game takes place, it's likely a pre-Spencer Estate story, maybe the mission in which Chris and Jill got information on Spencer's location. If it takes place in a post-RE5 world, then that would be better. I know some said it couldn't, because Jill's hair isn't blond. But really, with the P30 device off of her, and the drug itself likely out of her system, I'm sure her natural hair color and hue of her skin have returned to normal. Not to mention all those fancy moves would be gone too. Now just Jill with super anti-virals. The story, from what I'm getting from that screencap of the weapon pointing, will focus on their relationship (at least I'm hoping), and a whole idea of trust. I could mention an X-Files episode here, called "Ice", but I won't. It's a good one, and deals with trust and all.... oh, yeah, anyway. I'm just excited, and can't wait to get my hands on this... on the Nintendo 3DS... which I'm guessing is a new DS system.

I'm starting to believe those pictures were manipulated. If you look really closely, the Chris with a weapon doesn't seem to belong there. Also, in the other picture Jill is pointing a gun at Chris, he was so badly cut and placed there (look at his hair and beneath his ear). So, i think only one Chris was there, and she was pointing the other gun to someone else, probably Chris' captor (which is said to be a female).

EDIT: I found a description of the trailer. Turns out, Chris and Jill were keeping a prisoner in a chair, and they'ree really pointing guns at each other.

NICE find bruno, but I question the authenticity of that dialogue......I just do not buy the Chis v Jill scenario, unless this is a bad Chris clone!

I believe Chris or Jill is truning bad, and I'd really like to see that. It doesn't mmean they are big rivals, just that they disagree at some things.

There was no dialogue transcription in that link. It was just a smaller version of the transcription in the link i posted. Also, the dialogue I posted is coerent with the images released.

I was referring correctly to your link {which is why I termed it your 'first'} which includes a ridiculous version of un-confirmed dialogue between Jill & Chris, which is quite clearly inaccurate and a faked transcription of what potentially was said.

I still say it looks an awful lot like Lost in Nightmares. So much so I think that they may indeed pull a "Chonicles" with this game. To me the title "Revelations" means revealing new things about past events we thought we knew. Perhaps there was more to Lost in Nightmares than just a handful of enemies and a recycled boss fight. Maybe this was what was intented before they had to scrap it then release it as a download.

Then again, those live action videos on RE5's site hinted Chris was coping with PTSD after the game, and Sheva told him they had another mission. Hmmm.....
