Do you have a question regarding anything related to Biohazard? Does it warrant an entire thread, or is it potentially just a one reply answer? Then ask away in this T69 inspired thread, and we here at Project Umbrella will endeavour to answer!

Suspended or Regis Licker? I

Suspended or Regis Licker?

I mean, I've been flicking through articles and threads...to my knowledge it was always called the Regis Licker except in guides, etc where they referred to it as Suspended (suspendead?), but this was never anything official to my knowledge.

Am I wrong, or does the article name need to be changed?

I had this discussion with

I had this discussion with News Bot, since the Japanese guides refer to it as Suspended whereas, in-game, both the Hellfire Completion Checklist and the unlockable for its introductory FMV refer to it as Regis Licker.

Our conversation was inconclusive.

1. Are there multiple

1. Are there multiple merchants in RE4 or just one? I've noticed that some of their eyes are blue and some are red. I realize that this has little to no impact on the story, but it's something that always bothered me.

2. Where is Birkin's underground lab from RE2 actually located? Was it directly underneath the city or out in the Arklay forest? Did RE Zero screw up big time?

Regarding question 2, Zero

Regarding question 2, Zero did actually screw up a bit.  It shouldn't be possible to take an elevator directly from Birkin's lab to the MTF.  I do think, though, that the lab is on the outskirts of town.

That's the magic elevator

That's the magic elevator that was surely placed there so players can retrieve stuff they have left behind in the MTF.  Should be treated like the chests in other games.

Yeah, in reality, that

Yeah, in reality, that elevator has three levels. The magic 4th floor that leads back to the MTF is just a gameplay device.

The lab is on the outskirts of the city as it is connected via transport lift to the Dead Factory. This is how the government troops ended up there in Bio3 as when they infiltrated the undeground lab to rescue Birkin they took the wrong left and ended up at the wrong facility.

A woman was in the "Suspended" (サスペンデッド) state; in other words, in mid transformation of becoming Licker. Japanese checklist says "Suspended" so I'm not sure where Regis originates from.

Ground level was on the outskirts of Raccoon City in an industrial section where the Umbrella Chemical Plant  was situated and within the city limits. The tunnel stretched through the Arklay Mountains outside of Raccoon City.

New-Blood.com posted an interview which confirmed this was a gameplay mechanic.

Even though you can kill him, Mikami talked about just the one merchant who was voiced by the same actor as Leon.

Just as a side-note:

Just as a side-note: Suspended is an irregular mutant. It is not directly a Licker, it's a freak mutation that occurred in the middle of the Licker process. Outbreak was initially meant to be filled with these types of bosses: freak mutations that arise from otherwise regular enemies. A 5x larger Neptune and two headed Cerberus among them.

Few things that have been on

Few things that have been on my mind lately...

1. In RE1, as soon as you go up the lift to use the Wolf and Eagle medals. There is a door on your left that is "rusted shut". Where does it go exactly?

2. What were those things inside the tubes in the Tyrant room in RE1?

3. Is the "knife" Sergei uses real? If so what's it called?

4. Lisa Trevor's body was able to absorb the NE-Alpha. Is this unique to her or is the G-Virus able to do this?

1.  That door, I think, leads

1.  That door, I think, leads to the helipad.

2.  No one knows, but I believe that they were artificial wombs for raising Hunters.

3.  I think it's a fictional design.

4.  Short answer is, we don't know.  But G is an improved version of what was in Lisa's body, so it stands to reason that a G-Type would be able to absorb a Nemesis parasite.

1. Hieronymus is correct. It's the helipad.

2. They seem to be brains, like in the movie 'Robocop 2'. Maybe the initial stages of cloning?

3. Again, Hieronymus is correct. If you'd like to create a replica, there's artwork in the UC guidebook. Someone posted it in the various translations topic as well.

4. She didn't exactly absorb it. Lisa was an anomaly. It disappeared [off screen?] after it attempted to penetrate her brain. Since NE-a was the only prototype of the 6th laboratory at the time, maybe it was unique, not Lisa. Either way, what is unique is that they formed a symbiotic relationship unlike Nemesis of which the parasite was in full control. Maybe the NE-a was somehow immune to t and in response, the mutant t in Lisa's body was forced to repeatedly mutate in order to overcome this immunity, creating a superior variant which led to G? You have to remember that Lisa was the base for t-virus development, so the t-virus Marcus created must have been a different strain. I'd say a definitive answer would require more research.

Thanks for the previous

Thanks for the previous answers, guys. More questions!

1. How did Leon know who Wesker was in RE4? He mentioned that Ada was "working with Wesker" during the scene in the castle's bedroom, but at no point in the series did the two actually meet. Is it just assumed that Claire told Leon about Wesker?

2. Which brings me to another question: How did Claire know who Wesker was in Code Veronica X? Can we just assume that Chris told her about him at some point? It seems like it's just a poorly written plot point that because the player surely knows who Wesker is, the playable character should, too. This goes for the Leon thing, too.

3. How long was S.T.A.R.S operational (with Wesker as their captain) before the mansion incident?

4. Where is this Beards Nevence character who is supposedly in RE6 from? I know he's a BSAA agent, but I don't recall him being mentioned in RE5.

5. What parts of the additional Umbrella Chronicles scenarios (Beginnings, Nightmare, Rebirth, and Death's Door) are canon and which aren't? I ask because most contain questionable events, such as Rebecca and Billy not actually killing the Proto-Tyrant and Ada escaping from Birkin's lab only to end up in the tunnel outside the Apple Inn in downtown Raccoon.

6. Is the canon version of the Fourth Survivor scenario the one in RE2 or the one in Umbrella Chronicles? Some may say that there isn't much of a difference, but HUNK had to face different enemies and traverse more ground in the RE2 version.

7. We've already discussed some questionable geography in RE Zero, but if you stack the training facility maps on top of each other, why are the basement and the train tunnel occupying the same space? Another design screw-up?

1) The U.S. government was

1) The U.S. government was aware of Wesker due to a report being filed on the Rockfort Island incident. That's how Krauser learns more about him. Plus, he had Chris and Claire to hear from. At some point, he learned that Ada joined Wesker's secret organization.

2) Claire knew about Chris's work in S.T.A.R.S., most likely knew about Wesker or even met him at some stage.

3) Established in Spring 1996, so just over two years. Some material says that they didn't even become fully operational until December 1997, but we still have to confirm that.

4) Beards Nevence (probably "Nevance") is featured quite prominently in the BIOHAZARD marhawa desire manga, which is apparently a prequel which leads directly into RE6.

5) Honestly, at this point I'd say all of them are canon. The events of RE1 are ambiguous, so Rebecca and Richard encountering Yawn and Richard being wounded in the attic is plausible. Chris and Jill are still separate though. Beginnings is essentially a remake of the scene in RE0 where Birkin and Wesker approach the elevator. It has the exact same Japanese script. In Death's Door, Ada doesn't come straight out of Birkin's lab and end up in the sewer next to the Apple Inn. She did some travelling over that past day.

6) I think the UC version of the scenario is the canon one at this point. There's very little difference anyway.

7) Never heard of this one, someone else can take it.

1. The father of Ashley

1. The father of Ashley Grahams is in the Resident Evil 6 trailer. There are instances that Ashley would be there?

2. There are rumours that Ada Wong is gonna appear in Resident Evil 6.  Is it true?

3. What  really happened to Steve Burnside? Is he still kept by Umbrella. Is there a possibility that he is alive?

These are some of my quick questions. Please answer guys. Thanks.

1) It is unknown if the

1) It is unknown if the President in BH6 is Ashley's father.

2) Two sources say it is true. We won't know for sure until we see it.

3) He's dead and his corpse is held by the opposing organization of Umbrella.

First name Adam. Last name isn't Graham.

Got it. What about Ashley? Is she there? Thanks for the answers, guys. So is there a posibility that Ada is gonna be there?

No one knows if the blonde

No one knows if the blonde girl seen in the trailer is Ashley, Sherry Birkin, or an entirely new character. IGN says that their sources say it's Sherry, but they neglect to mention who their sources are. The actress who voiced Ashley in RE4 (Carolyn Lawrence) has said that she did not work on RE6, but she could have a contractual agreement with Capcom to keep her mouth shut.

I don't think a contract can force you to lie about something, though.  So if she actually denied it, then she probably wasn't involved.

1.Yeah, it is Mr. Graham and father of Ashley Graham.  Mr.Graham served twp terms as President (2004-2013). Before 1998 he served as Director of DIA.

I suggest you watch the beginning prologue of Leon in RE4, there is a bond established.

2. I dunno, if rumors like that means Ada is accompanying Leon for the third time in the series.

3. I agree with News Bot.

1.) Did you not read what Welsh stated? We have no confirmation that it is President Graham in RE6. Where have you got this Director of DIA nonsense from? Pure rubbish, there's no sources for that anywhere in the material. Please don't keep pushing this as fact because it isn't.

2.) According to sources, Ada is present in BH6. But we've yet to see her. At the moment consider her a possibility.

3.) Steve is dead, his corpse is being held by an organisation. One of Umbrella's rivals would be my best guess.

What part of "It isn't

What part of "It isn't Graham" don't people understand?

I have no idea where this

I have no idea where this "Director of DIA" hogwash even came from, I haven't seen it anywhere until today.

Not actually hogwash, the general in Sherry's epilogue is the DIA Director.

What exactly is the source for believing it isn't Graham? We've all seen the newspaper in the trailer that says "President Adam" but where has it explicitly said it's not Graham?
