IGN - "The Best Resident Evil?"

IGN recently held a poll asking readers which Resident Evil they thought was the best of the bunch. Unsurprisingly, Resident Evil 4 destroyed the competition with 59% of the votes. Resident Evil 2 came in second place with only 17% of the votes.

IGN's Guide to the Heroes of Resident Evil

IGN has posted an article discussing the various heroes and heroines who have appeared throughout the Resident Evil series. Obviously, there's nothing here that fans of the series won't already know, but it's a fun read if you have some free time.

Interestingly enough, they claim that Jill is a reformed cat burglar, drawing from the S.D. Perry novels rather than from the games' canon. Other than that, it's relatively error-free.

Ada Wong is conspicuously absent from the list, but IGN may be saving her for the inevitable Guide to the Villains, even though she technically is not a villain.

Capcom Gets New Distributor in Australia/New Zealand

It appears Capcom has gotten a new distributor in Australia and New Zealand, so fans in those areas worried about not seeing their favorite Capcom titles should have nothing to worry about now.

Gamepro Germany Resident Evil 5 Gameplay Footage

The gameplay footage that was used in the recent Gamepro Germany video review has been released as separate videos without the narration. There is some new footage interspersed throughout that was edited out when the footage was spliced together for the video review. Without the narration, you can better hear some of the dialogue between the characters.

And for all of you Devil May Cry fans, in the video showing the jeep chase, you can hear the voice of Reuben Langdon, Chris Redfield's motion capture actor, as well as the motion capture and voice actor for Dante in Devil May Cry 3 and 4. It looks like he's got a bit part in RE5 as the BSAA soldier driving the jeep.Click to Continue »

Resident Evil 5 Introduced to Spain

Capcom held a recent event in Spain to show off Resident Evil 5. Producer Masachika Kawata was there to answer questions from fans and members of the press. GameProTV was there to cover the event, and they have released a video online of their coverage.

It must be noted that the footage is entirely in Spanish.

Famitsu Shows Off New Batch Of RE5 Images

Another batch of RE5 images, featuring the enormous Gigante (again) have appeared online through Famitsu. The new images confirmed that you will be battling against the monster with the machine-gun turret on the jeep.
