宿主の意識を残したままの共生状態を保つには、低温での長時間（約15年）の準備期間を要する。
アレクシアは自らをコールドスリープ状態にすることで完全共生を計った。
驚異的な繁殖拡散性を持ち、己のコピーを無制限に生み出して既存の生態系を破壊しつくす特性を持つ。
