History
The first and only research facility of the Japanese subsidiary of the Umbrella Corporation was constructed in 1987. Prior to the construction of the facility, Umbrella Japan consisted only of the import, sale and distribution of pharmaceutical drugs developed by the company's American branch; Umbrella U.S.A. With the facility's operations, the Japanese corporation's strong points were the utilization of biotechnology, original research and advancing the development of products. 1
The facility officially closed its doors on March 14, 2004, following the dissolution of the Japanese subsidiary.
