U.B.C.S.
Umbrella's private military unit.
Its official name is Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Service.
Its main duty is to deal with disasters caused by in-house products, and they are dispatched first if an incident occurs.
Its members are comprised of war criminals, political refugees or soldiers that have received a death penalty sentence or life imprisonment, and are coerced to join with acquittal as a bargaining point.
Many of its members had military service in the Communist bloc and have undeniable combat skills.

ｱﾝﾌﾞﾚﾗの私設部隊｡
正式名称はｱﾝﾌﾞﾚﾗ･ﾊﾞｲｵﾊｻﾞｰﾄﾞ対策部隊である｡
主な任務は自社製品が引き起こした災害への対処で､事件が発生すると真っ先に派遣される｡
任務の危険度から隊員は戦争犯罪人や亡命者､もしくは死刑や無期懲役の宣告を受けた軍人で構成されており､無罪放免などを交換条件に参加を強制されている｡
隊員の中には､共産圏で軍務に当たっていたものも多くその戦闘技術は侮れない｡
