History
By using a human host and then splicing insect and reptile genes through genetic manipulation, the U-3 was born. It was then injected with a sample of Las Plagas, which also removed the exclusion left by the combination of different cells. It became distorted and ugly in appearance as a result of not adjusting the characteristics of each species. The large-size Plagas lies hidden in the spinal cord of the human part.
The U-3 was unleashed against Leon S. Kennedy during the South Europe incident, where it was shown to mutate during the battle. Similar research was later undertaken by Tricell Incorporated, producing the U-8.
Attributes
The U-3 uses a tentacle on its left hand to perform a whip-like action which is too fast for its prey to see. It also uses the large "jaw" section of the Plaga to slash at enemies and also burrow underground, where it can mount an effective attack while remaining unseen.
Etymology
The "U" in U-3 stands for "Ultimate", while the 3 is an indicator of how many organisms the creature is comprised of. In this case, it is called "Ultimate 3" based on its use of a human, insect and reptile.
