Tyrell Patrick was a mercenary in the U.B.C.S. (Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Service) Bravo Platoon Squad A, later employed as an Umbrella Corporation surveillance agent. Despite possessing high capabilities for a mercenary, his obsession with money was unusually strong. 1
History
Patrick was born in 1966 in the Republic of Suriname. At some point, he immigrated to the Netherlands and joined the French Foreign Legion. He became interested in running his own side-business, but had no real talent for making money.
Using his position in the Legion, he dabbled in a side-business of heavy weapons smuggling. However, some of these weapons ended up being used in genocide and his illegal sales were discovered. He was discharged and sentenced to life imprisonment. However, he cleverly contacted a mercenary coordinator and endorsed a special measure of release, subject to enlistment in the paramilitary U.B.C.S. (Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Service) owned by the Umbrella Corporation.
Despite his enlistment in the U.B.C.S., Patrick remained a greedy, money-obsessed individual and accepted a position as a "surveillance agent" for the company in order to earn extra reward money by observing the slaughter of his fellow teammates against infected creatures.
On September 26, 1998, Patrick was deployed into Raccoon City with Bravo Platoon Squad A and under the secret orders of "Bravo 16", the sixteen surveillance agents sent into the city. 2 While attempting to recover treatment data in Raccoon General Hospital, he was murdered by fellow surveillance agent Nikolai Zinoviev.
