History
The Sweeper was developed by The 3rd Organization thanks to the Hunter α data provided by Albert Wesker. It was based on the Hunter II and enhanced. Its job is to take care of targets which escape from the Hunter II. 3
The Sweeper was put into action alongside the Hunter II on Rockfort Island on December 27, 1998.
Attributes
The Sweeper has higher movement abilities than both the original Hunter and the Hunter II and prefers to intercept and eliminate its prey with an element of surprise through unexpected jumping attacks. It has a red and slightly purple complexion instead of the usual green, and it secretes a venom on its claws which allows it to poison its prey. Unlike the Hunter II, it is not designed to eliminate designated targets.
Etymology
The term "Sweeper" is derived from its purpose to eliminate targets which escape from the Hunter II, a job which makes it a "cleaner".
