History
Developed by the organization led by Javier Hidalgo, these ants were administered with t-Veronica virus. They closely resembled the ants created by Alexia Ashford, and carried the same qualities. Because ants have high fecundity and adaptability to any environment, they are commonly used as the base for B.O.W.s. However, their limited intelligence, uncontrollable and dangerous nature makes it difficult to develop them as efficient and effective B.O.W.s.
Attributes
They swarm and attack in the same manner as the Ants created by Alexia, and possess the same exceptional growth and high aggressiveness as their Antarctic counterparts. They are larger and more aggressive, and the base species used as the test subject possess larger pincers, making them slightly more deadly. Unlike the ants developed by Alexia, the South American Ants do not seem to be controlled by a "Queen". 2
