"These are my people that are dying here!"- Sheva Alomar
Sheva Alomar is a member of the West African branch of the BSAA (Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance) and a native to West Africa itself. She harboured an intense hatred for bioterrorism due to an incident in her past, however the actual events leading to this resentment are unknown within the BSAA due to her details being under a protection program. She is classified as a SOA (Special Operations Agent) of the BSAA. In order to disclose sensitive information on her past, the approval of three higher ranked members of the BSAA that have information access rights of level 8 or higher is necessary. 1 2 3
History
Sheva Alomar was born in 1986 to an impoverished African family in a factory town, home to Umbrella Plant 57. As with many factory towns, this plant was its lifeblood and her parents were lowly employees. The income received allowed Sheva to live a somewhat happy childhood.
Childhood Tragedy
Sometime in 1993, following a secret B.O.W. test conducted at the plant her parents were killed and their deaths and the destruction of the facility and nearby town were covered-up and deemed an accident. Sheva came face to face with several members of Umbrella's Special Forces (Umbrella Security Service) during the incident. A vigilant neighbour helped Sheva get back to her parent's home unnoticed, where she hid as the agents proceeded to execute all of the adults in the town. Two days after the incident, Sheva was taken in by her uncle who hoped for monetary compensation from Umbrella for her parent's deaths. With Umbrella having absolutely no interest in providing compensation, Sheva was largely ignored by her uncle in favor of his own family and was on the verge of starvation before she ran away into the savanna.
Guerrilla Past
She was found by a member of an anti-government guerrilla group, who took her in and provided her with food and shelter, caring for her. Knowing the truth of her parent's death, Sheva was filled with hatred for Umbrella and the local government that co-operated with them. Sheva then joined the guerrilla group her carer was in.
After seven years with the guerrilla group, Sheva was informed by a representative of the U.S. Government that her fellow guerrillas were plotting to purchase B.O.W.s from the now barely renegade Umbrella. A deal was worked out between the two, stating that if Sheva apprehended the Umbrella representative that was selling the weapons, Sheva's guerrilla group would be pardoned and set free. Sheva agreed, and the resulting mission was a success. Recognising her skills, the U.S. representative offered Sheva a new life in America, which she accepted.
New Life
Shortly after arriving in America, Sheva's drive and intelligence made her quickly prove her own self-worth, being able to master the English language as if it were her native tongue in just six months. Sheva eventually attended university, graduating with high honors. Following her graduation, the same U.S. representative, her legal guardian, that gave her the new life she sought suggested to her that she join the recently formed Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance. Sheva completed her basic training and was assigned to the unit of Josh Stone, when she trained intensively for eight months in the use of martial arts. She received the highest ranked evaluation from her teacher, Josh, and adopted the use of taijutsu. She also constantly achieved top marks in firearms training. She was then hand-picked as a BSAA operative, being assigned to the West African branch.
Uroboros Project
In 2009, Sheva was chosen as the partner for Chris Redfield in a mission to apprehend a known black market bioweapons dealer known as Ricardo Irving. The reasoning behind this was because of her local status, as the new government of the Kijuju Autonomous Zone was wary of foreigners, and Sheva's ethnicity would help put them at ease. As the two proceeded with their mission, Sheva and Chris revealed their respective pasts and their shared motivations, eventually forming a solid partnership which allowed them to continue their investigation despite having been ordered to retreat. Sheva greatly aided Chris in his mission, helping him save his former partner Jill Valentine and to defeat his arch-nemesis, Albert Wesker. Sheva returned home safely with Chris, Jill and Josh.
Chris Search
In 2012, after the death of almost the complete team of Chris Redfield on a BSAA operation on the Edonia Republic and suffering amnesia from a critical hit on the head, Chris disappeared. A search was issued immediately by the only other survivor of the team Piers Nivans. After hearing this, Sheva sent an email to Nivans offering her help and that of the West African Branch of the BSAA expressing her respect to Chris calling him an important benefactor for her branch and herself.
