Title

Ron Davis

Ron Davis was the senator of his hometown of Harvardville during and after the Raccoon City incident, and a stockholder and special advisor to the pharmaceutical company, 'WilPharma Corporation'. He was accused of insider trading by the mass media on several occasions. He believed that prosperity can only be achieved with sacrifice, therefore he justified the casualties of Raccoon City and WilPharma's clinical trials in India as necessary evils.

History

In September 1998, Davis became a member of a special committee within the U.S. Senate that voted on the "Sterilization Operation"; to launch an experimental new-type warhead in an effort to sterilize the t-virus infested Raccoon City. Davis himself had an ulterior motive however, he agreed to the decision in order to rub out the close relationship between the Umbrella Corporation and the United States Government. If Umbrella were dismantled, the government would become friendly with the industry leading WilPharma instead, which led to a silent acceptance of WilPharma's illegal clinical trials being performed in India. Afterwards, Davis' influence in Washington and his relationship with WilPharma easily allowed him to attract the company to Harvardville to build their headquarters and new research facility.

As a stock holder of WilPharma, Ron Davis was a major defender of WilPharma's research into the t-virus and their clinical trials in India, making him unpopular with the general public and especially the NGO TerraSave. In order to dodge the brunt of public opposition, Senator Davis desperately tried to hold a National Pharmaceutical Conference in Harvardville to help fund WilPharma's research. Just as he was visiting the airport, a mysterious terrorist contacted the United States Government with a threat and spread the t-virus in the airport. The terrorist demanded that the United States President himself announce the truth behind the Raccoon City incident that the government had concealed seven years before. If the demand was not met, the t-virus would be released all over the United States. Although Davis was originally suspected by Claire Redfield, who saved his life in the airport, to be behind the incident due to his status as a stockholder of WilPharma who wanted to see the company succeed, it was found out that the company's lead researcher Frederic Downing was responsible for the events.

Afterwards, public trust in WilPharma plummeted along with their stock following the Harvardville incident and the company went bankrupt, while Ron Davis himself announced his retirement after being finally found guilty of insider trading of WilPharma's stock. Davis was later murdered by agents of Tricell Incorporated, another pharmaceutical company that bought out WilPharma following the Harvardville attack. All of his personal data was also completely erased including any information on WilPharma.
