Title

Robert Kendo

Robert (Bob) Kendo was the Japanese-American owner of the Kendo Gun Shop based in Raccoon City. He was the younger brother of Joseph Kendo. He was also a good friend of S.T.A.R.S. member, Barry Burton, and they had gone on several fishing trips together. Both Kendo and his brother worked on customising handguns for S.T.A.R.S, the most prominent of which being the Samurai Edge.

History

When the outbreak began in Raccoon City, Kendo considered evacuating the city and escaping to Stone Ville. Unfortunately, the city was already overwhelmed by zombies before he could put the plan into action, and as such he was forced to remain in the security of his establishment. In the chaos, Kendo distributed his entire weapons stock to any survivors in the town, including the Raging Bull, a customized gun originally requested by Barry Burton. This left him without sufficient weapons to defend himself.

On September 29, he encountered  Leon S. Kennedy who was seeking refuge inside Kendo's store from the zombie-infested streets. Soon after, several zombies broke through the store windows and attacked Kendo, killing him.

Following the Raccoon City incident, Leon presumably contacted Joseph Kendo in San Fransisco with news of his brother's death and began negotiations to build Leon a custom handgun.
