I heard a horrifying story. Last week a small American town named Raccoon City was suddenly destroyed. All of the inhabitants became monsters, and there does not seem to be any survivors. It's rumoured that Umbrella Pharmaceuticals was involved in the incident, but I don't know the full story...
I hope things will be okay in this town...
October 6
Today I heard that what annihilated Raccoon City was a man named William Birkin. He developed the T and G-Viruses and tried to monopolize them by refusing to turn them over to Umbrella Headquarters. He administered the virus to his own body and became a monster, and the virus was incidentally leaked into the sewers and spread throughout the whole town by brown rats.
October 8
What am I going to do? A visitor of an Umbrella employee who came to eat lunch told me that the T-Virus is also in this town. He laughed and said an accident would never occur, but there is always a chance. I was tempted by the unprecedented guarantee to be employed by Umbrella, but I am getting tired of doing business solely with Umbrella employees. Before a disaster occurs perhaps I should escape this town while I still have time.

10月4日
とんでもない話を聞いた。先週アメリカのラクーンシティって名の小さな街が突如崩壊したそうだ。何でも住民はみんな化け物になっちまって人っ子一人生き残りはいないらしい。その事件はアンブレラ製薬が関わっているって話だが詳しいことはよく分からない。海の向こうの話とはいえアンブレラが関わっているとなりゃ只事じゃねぇ気がする･･･。
この街に何事もなければいいのだが･･･。
10月6日
今日聞いた話じゃラクーンシティを壊滅させたのはウィリアム・バーキンって野郎なんだと。奴は自分が作ったTやらGがやいうウィルスを一人占めしようとしてアンブレラ本社とウィルスの奪い合いをしてたんだ。その時なぜか奴は自分の体にウィルスを投与して化け物になっちまい、ついでに下水に漏れたウィルスがドブねずみを介して街全体に広がったって話だ。
10月8日
どうする？昼飯を食いに来たアンブレラ社員の客が例のTウィルスがこの街にもあると話していたんだ。ソイツはここでは事故なんて絶対起きないって笑っていたが万が一って事もある。破格のギャラに釣られてアンブレラに雇われた俺だがこのヘンピな街でアンブレラの社員相手だけに商売するのもそろそろ飽きてきたところだ。万が一が起きる前にこの街から逃げ出す時が来たのかもしれない。
