History
This creature was developed on the Los Illuminados' island base as a result of a unique experiment to infect a single human host with multiple Plaga parasites. A re-improved variant was also developed, known as the "Iron Maiden".
Attributes
The Regenerador possesses an abnormally high metabolic rate and as a result, it is able to completely regenerate lost body parts following destruction and heal otherwise fatal wounds. Although it retains a vague shape of a human being, its body structure has been completely changed into something else entirely. It has no ears, deformed noses, red glowing eyes and large, gaping, drooling mouths filled with rows of sharp teeth. Their bodies have no protrusions, not even sexual organs, making it impossible to determine the gender of specimens. Their entire body from their organs to their brains has undergone so many unique mutations that no trace exists of primordial human intelligence.
They walk slowly, but can attack enemies by stretching out and grabbing them with both arms, drawing them closer and biting with their sharp teeth. The only way to kill a Regenerador is by destroying the leech-like Plaga parasites inhabiting its body.
Etymology
"Regenerador" means "regenerator" in Spanish, and the creature is named after its unique ability to regenerate tissue and body parts.
