The Reaper was an irregular mutant which was a result of the Uroboros virus accidentally infecting an insect.
History
The Reaper arose after being exposed to the Uroboros virus following a leak within the Uroboros Laboratory, and is the only recorded creature known to have exhibited any response from secondary exposure to the virus. It was originally a small arthropod and its physical form resembles a mantis, which may have been the base organism for the creature.
Attributes
Exposure to the Uroboros virus granted the Reaper a tough epidermis resistant to most conventional weaponary, as well as extremely sharp hook-like forelimbs that can easily penetrate and dismember heavily-armoured soldiers. The Reaper also possesed the special ability to secrete gaseous chemicals which affect the optic nerves of its prey's eyes, blinding them when close for an easy kill. One side effect of the sudden mutation were certain weak spots that took the form of large, yellow blobs on the back of the Reaper, with a main one being located in the chest cavity.
