A European aristocrat from a noble family, who discovered the Progenitor Virus with James Marcus and Edward Ashford.
In order to promote the development of biological weapons which utilized it, the camouflage company Umbrella was established by the joint three men.
He mercilessly murdered his rivals, gradually increasing his power within the company.
He managed to achieve the completion of the t-Virus, seizing and monopolizing all of Umbrella.
He controlled the company without appearing even to executives, and his personality and true purpose are wrapped in a veil of darkness.
