The 'Licker β' was an advanced B.O.W. developed by Tricell Incorporated, based on the original Licker first uncovered during the Raccoon City outbreak in 1998. 1
History
Due to continuous high demand on the black market for the Licker B.O.W., the Tricell research team developed a plan to continue research and development on the Licker. Using normal Lickers as base organisms, the researchers intended to develop a new breed of B.O.W. with outstanding mobility and aggressiveness by re-engineering it with the Progenitor virus. They managed to enhance the Licker's abilities and the result was dubbed the "Licker β". 2
Although the results were not as satisfying as expected following injection of the Progenitor virus, the continuous demand for the Licker on the black market ensured continued production by Tricell and they were stored in the Uroboros Laboratory in extremely large numbers.
Attributes
Since t-virus B.O.W.s generally exhibit very little improvements following administration of the Progenitor virus, the only noticeable differences in the new Licker's physiology following the administration of the virus are a slightly increased muscle mass, heightened sense of smell and the ability to reproduce. On top of this, the creature now dissolves following death. It's primary traits are the same as the types found in Raccoon City.
Its attack methods remain similar to its original incarnations, utilizing its sharp claws and extremely large tongue as effective weapons. It retains its amazing mobility and agility and is even more aggressive and powerful than its previous incarnations. One new weakness exhibited by the Licker β is an exposed heart located in the very center of it's chest. 3
