Irregular Mutants
"Irregular Mutants" (also known as "secondary infectants") are creatures which were not directly targeted for mutation as a weapon but succumbed to the effects of a viral agent regardless. The main difference between a B.O.W. and an irregular mutant is that a B.O.W. is specifically engineered for use as a weapon, although it has been observed that random mutations in nature can be just as devastating although seldom useful as a weapon since they are often uncontrollable. However, they can open up new avenues for B.O.W. research and inspire researchers to pursue new projects.
The following irregular mutants are organized by their base organism's classification.
